Default Plz help me use Jamba to train my Hydra

I have been trying to utilize some form of Zanthor's LT system involving macaroon and jamba. I love the idea that jamba can manage follow for me, warn me if it breaks and strobe it. I have five buttons keybound for the intention of changing my main through "focus" and then setting them as the one to follow and promote to leader of the group.

The macro i am using looks just like what i saw in Zanthor's thread.

    /focus Electrified
    /jamba setmeasmaster all
    /jamba-follow strobeonme all
    /script SetView(5);SetView(5);

My toons names are Electrified, Geologic, Glacial, Enflamed, Divinestorm. Four shaman and a pally. Each toon has a macro with their name at the top. The macaroon button type is "action" and i wrote the macro in the wow interface. I have written other macros in the wow interface and had them work perfectly in a macaroon "action" button. All the buttons are synched the same and on all the different toons the actionid# is even the same (8-12 on each toon). When i hit the button it will always focus the right toon but that is where my success ends. It almost never has the group follow the right toon and it almost never has the right toon promoted to leader.

I am not sure what is happening but it almost looks like it is somewhat randomly selecting a follow and a leader for the group. I haven't been able to find the pattern yet. Usually there is one toon that is being followed by everyone else, but sometimes three toons are following one toon... and then the last (other) toon is following one of the toons following the only toon not following. Sometimes there is no toon who is not following someone and so the group can't move anywhere without stoping the follow strobe in jamba.

The focus is always just the right focus. The leader is not always the same as the focus and the leader is not always the same as the one that is being followed and the focus is almost never the one being followed.

I am just looking for a way to use five buttons where each button will select a focus from the group... make them the group leader and set the follow on them. As i understand it making my focus the leader and setting follow on the one focused are specifications i can accomplish through jamba.

I have been playing with it unsuccessfully for hours. I have set all the toons with the tag "all" selected and also with it not selected and neither one really changes what i am seeing in a way i can recognize.

    8| :whistling:

    Hey,

What version of Jamba are you using? You are describing a bug that has been previously fixed. Make sure you are using the latest version.

Also, make sure that all your characters have their check boxes ticked on the TEAM tab of the /jamba interface options. You must check this on every toon.

Please let me know if you are still having problems.

Thanks for the reply. I will check what version i am using in a minute. I downloaded it this week so i think it is the most current... 4.?? I could have made a mistake though.

I got my master and follow problems solved sort of. I use the check box to make my focus my master/leader and the solves the setmeasmaster issue. I found a command on your site that goes like this /jamba-follow target Electrified (or whatever the toon name is) and this command works great. I use it instead of the jamba-follow strobeonme all command.

My problem now is i can't break follow on my followers. I wrote two macros... one says /jamba-follow strobeoff all and one says /jamba-follow strobeonlast all. I don't know if the second one works cause i can't get the first on to work. Lol. I want to have my guys try some of the instances in outlands and i don't want my shammy in meele trying to follow my pally around so i want to have them stop following and dps from a little ways back.

Any thoughts on how i break follow? Maybe it is just a older version. I will check that now.

EDIT: I checked and i downloaded the 0.4b version which i think is the newest version. Should i try to download it again and re-install? Should the commands /jamba-follow strobeoff all break follow? Is there another way to do it?

Addons cannot stop following for you. You need to bind a movement key for your slaves and press that to stop following. I have bound my arrow keys to my slaves movement. To stop following, I press the back arrow.

No need to download the again, 0.4b is the latest.

Can you check something for me? Login to wow with all your characters.

    On your main character only.
    1. Go to the screen below by typing /jamba
    2. Make sure all your characters are in the list box; if they are not there, add them in using the Add button.
    3. Press "Enable All Members".
    4. Press "Push To Characters"
Once this is done, your characters will now respond to each other.

Also, go into the Switch Tab and make sure the "On Focus Change Set Master To Focus" option is checked. Make sure to push to characters.

Now on every toon have a macro that does for when you want Electrified to be the master.

    /focus Electrified

You only need to have this macro on one character to make the others follow

    /jamba-follow master all

    Lets see if that helps.
