Sli is great now with its new drivers that support windowed gaming and multi monitor display, all the slowness is due to cpu power.
you need to play around with CPU affinity, currently i quadbox with a Q6600 and have my main wow seesion with high graphics use cpu 0,1 and rest of the slaves with lowered graphics and view distance(3 of them) share cpu 2 and 3.

Overall my fps with my main window is great stays at 30 in shatt. and 50+ everywhere else. the slaves however stay at 15-25 in shat and 30-40+ everywhere else.
How can i share the cpu´s ?? I ve a Quadcore too and i am 5boxing. Probably someone can give me little help ??

    thank you
Go into your WTF folder and open your Config.WTF file with notepad

make sure your processAffinityMask is set to this:

    SET processAffinityMask "15"

Do this for each of your clients and this will allow your wow processes to use any core and your OS will take care of the balancing act.

I also noticed better performance since the patch. Not really noticeable in the outer world, but really obvious in town (SW, IF, I'm not going to Shattrath too much yet, still under RAF leveling groups).

I am running 5 instances on an iMac (2.8GHz dual Core, HD2600Pro, 4GB, Windows XP under Bootcamp).

dong that will give out equal amount of cpu power to all the wow isntances which in turn will drag all of them down in laggy areas, i found its best to give your main toon 2 cpus and let the rest of them share the remaining and 1 of the mains cpu..

SET processAffinityMask "3" For main sessions

SET processAffinityMask "14" For slave sessions

    EDIT:

Do this if you want most of your cpu power to your main wow, if not then do SET processAffinityMask "15" to all sessions.

    Small question(s):

I use the same folder for all my WoW windows (tried the multifolders, didn't notice any difference)

1.) Is there a way to do this with 1 WoW folder? I'm guessing not.

2.) Is there a way to utilize this with the PiP features of Keyclone? I'm also guessing not.

Has something changed recently that allows a wow client to be assigned to all 4 cores? It was my understanding that wow was only coded to work against no more than 2 cores.

Multifolders with Multidrives works better imo, but yea multifolders you just edit each of its config file and set the affinity there.

with one folder you can manualy enter the affinity with task manager by right clicking on the processes.
keyclone has that option as well but doesnt let you set how many cores per sessions.

    I tried:
SET processAffinityMask "3" For main sessions

SET processAffinityMask "14" For slave sessions

    And:
    SET processAffinityMask "15" For All

And they both brought my Q6600 4gb ram, 8800gt setup to its knees. I was getting 5fps with both setups on the main dude in shat and the cpu was utterly pegged. I couldn't even get back to this Firefox session to post without /quiting. Guess i'll go back to my:
    SET processAffinityMask "3" For Main

SET processAffinityMask "4" For Two Drones

SET processAffinityMask "8" For Two Drones

Hrm, I think my test is invalid because my usual setup is now borked as well. Something else is going on. Time to investimigatorize it.
