Trinity or Bongos or Bartender or other? Balancing ease of use, flexibility to go solo or not, ease of working with the Belkin speedpad, memory usage, compatibility and likelihood of it being updated.

Was debating making a new thread but I've made enough of those lately. Also debating the Pitbull vs. X Perl vs. grid or whatever as well, but not seriously.
I coudn't use Pitbull, after I installed it, everything was in the centre of the screen on top of each other. The options were confusing and I couldn't find any documentation. So I uninstalled it and tried X-Perl. At least X-Perl kinda put things in the right place by default and I found the options a little cleaner.

I also use Bartender 4. Never actually tried Trinity or Bongos.

Bartender wins in my book Leaderless/Targetless - Focus Based Hydra

I personally love Pitbull with Clique, but spending some time on setup isn't a problem for me. YMMV

I'm going to say use trinity just for its EASY keybinding, and simple to use and create setups.... especially the macro system (you dont even need to use wow macro's you can macro right into the buttons in trinity lol !)

only thing i seem to find is trinity kinda is heavy on its mem usage not exactly sure if its just me or not... i love the fact that you can keybind stuff RIGHT inside the spell book, i run a prot pally and 3 mages for my team, and spamming fireball or scorch or frost bolt or whatever i want, can be done right out of the box with a simple keybind in the book
Ghonosyph - 70 druid full epix across the board retired and only used for boosting atm (on same account as ghonno)

    theGHONcrew
    Ghonyes - paladin

    1.....10.....20.....30.....43!

    Ghonno, Ghonmaybe, Ghontoaster - mages

Fourboxing a tank and 3 dps makes looking for just a healer a logical choice!
Zorba I for one would be very interested in your writeup, the ability to throw together a new team for the hell of it appeals to me, I've always been prone to altitis, RAF and a system that adapts in 5 min for a non coder would be more addictive than (censors obscene comment). Having a couple of one class teams (like mage, shammy, lock) and some single toons would allow me to do silly combos just to see what they're like. Fast and simple is best, like a good girlfriend in high school.

aboron that's a great contribution, I might steal a lot of that. Are you using [ and ] with the hotstrings approach from the ftl setup? Is that the full setup or only part of it for [ and ]?
The nostromo is a gret tool, but it gets so frustrating to train myself to use it, I have no background in fps twitch games, so I don't reflexively strafe, and sometimes I like steering with just my left, having a beer, food, or a child in my other hand.

Minor hijack of my own thread:

I've written up the Target-and-hold, Leaderless, Focusless if you're still interested.

I'm another pitbull user, and for hotbars I use infinibar which seems to be a close equivalent to trinity (which I have never used). Both infinibar and pitbull are a bit of a handful to get set up, but they are quite powerful once you've got them configured.

Yeah I saw your write up, some great stuff in there.

I love the idea of how fast your teams can be put together, though I use function keys for a variety of things. I will be stealing some of your tidbits. Your hotstrings implementation I'm a little sketchy on, can you explain (or post or PM the script if that isnt the complete batch in your thread?) Hotstrings I think I'm gonna have to learn by rote moreso than the rest of this.

trinity bars is apparently the most macro godly but it eats memory, pitbull is a favorite for lots of people but has learning curve and doesnt sound like it has the macro ability. But then if all I do is map shift1 through shift = to quickbar 2 and ctrl versions to quickbar 3 that should give me enough flex. Does pitbull allow you to reshape the bars? Swapping the bar layout to look like the keys of my n52te will make it a lot easier to remember and train myself.

And everytime I read Jafula's post above with yadda in it I start singing Boom De Yadda Boom De Yadda.
