Default Moved from -Focus- to -Party1- system, small issue with /Follow

I'm trying to set up a leaderless system, where any of my shammies can be leader as easily as any other, making targeting the lead toon ineffective.
    I was using:

    /cast [target=focustarget] Lightning Bolt
    /targetlastenemy
    /cleartarget

    - and -

    /follow focus

    But have switched to:

    /assist [party1]
    /targetlastenemy
    /cast Lightning Bolt
    /cleartarget

    -and-

    /follow party1

Unfortunately, my current leader attempts to follow a toon in my group.
Is there a generic macro (as in one that will be the same for all of my toons), where each follows the party leader, but the party leader does not attempt to follow anyone?

2 ways to look at this I think, as I've got something similar in my current very crude setup, where everyone hits /follow party1 so the main shammy tries to follow the second one in line. Currently I just hit the macro and then go back to movement keys, breaking follow.

1- There's some sort of [nomod] stopmacro command you can put in at the beginning so that the active window stops the macro before assisting or following. The macro experts can probably clarify.

2- the standard UI does not consider the main active char (the large unit up in the corner) as party1. One of the standard unit frames addons does this, so rather than 1 large and 4 smaller units (party-party4) you have 5 equal sized unit frames and party1-party5 works properly.

    ok, i have a question...

if you have the following characters: joe, sam, bob, tim, and ted

on each character, is party1 always the same? what about party2? when i flip between characters, the party list is always in a different order.

what sets the order? should i not auto-invite/auto-accept?

I believe the order is related to the charater's creation timestamp. I remember reading something to that affect while researching multiboxing, but don't have a source to cite.

I thought Party1 was referring to the leader of the group and what his set up is, so if the set up for the leader is.

    leader xxxxx
    second toon yyyyy
    third toon zzzzz

Yes they will be different in the other screens with you at the top and not the same as the leader set up as above but I believe that party 1 always refers to the leader of the party so if you put party 2 then it should be yyyyyy or at least thats what I understand I could be totally wrong.

Can some one with a little bit more knowledge correct me if I am wrong.

Are you using Jamba? You have posted in the main Jamba thread at least...

If you are using Jamba, if you sync your Jamba master at the same time you change your leader, you can use

    /jamba-follow master

to follow the master, which will solve your problem.

    I'll try the Jamba-follow master.

I'm still experimenting with macro's to find what works best for me.
    My G-keys (G13, G14, G15, G16 and G17):
    - Run the Maximizer command to bring the corresponding window to the front.
    - Warcraft has a macro for each toon (same keybind as the Maximizer hotkey), which on the other four toons promotes the new master to party leader, and on the new master runs Jamba Setmeasmaster all.

The G18 key was /follow focus, and has become the /Follow party1.
I'll try to change it to /jamba-follow master and see how that goes.

The no focus assist will be nice, once its working as intended, as I'll be able to use Focus to remember CC's for my PvE group (Prot Pally, Dream Druid, Mage, Warlock, Elem Shammy) and be able to attack both current target and focus target for the shammy PvP group.

I needed to add the "all" to the end of /jamba-follow master all, but that did the trick.

    Thankyou )

Yes, the party1 idea is nice as it frees up focus and target. Hmmm, tempting...

I found a script somewhere that utilized

    /target focus
    /follow
    /assist
    /stopcasting

I was using this as my primary button "1." Now that I am level 52, Its time that I actually start making an effort with scripts to utilize something that changes leader when one of my toons dies. Is adding the /follow jamba master command the best way? I have Jamba, but I havent figured out how to change who my leader is effectively(FAST) when I die. I have a macro setup and I can change my WoW windows without any issue. Is there a way to have it so that when I use my F1-F5 to change my wow window, when someone dies, the "F1-5" key also assigns that new person leader, and all other party members set him as the new focus? Sorry for the nooby question, while I have found 20 threads on leader both here and at hotkeynet, I havent figured out how to make this work.
