Is there a chance we could put macros in the item bar?

Not something I want to do. I just want it to be an item bar.

And can we click on items in item bar in addition to keybinds?

I just would like to use items/macros on alts through clicking on an item on my main.

Addons cannot cast spells / use items for you. Hence the keyboard (hardware input) to use the items. To do this you need to use software like HKN, ISBoxer to broadcast mouse clicks.

I would put the lance for the tournament in a slot, but I don't need to use it quickly or very often. It wastes a keybind just to use something that I don't need to use fast.

Hence, you can drag the lance onto the item bar when you want to use it and drag it out when you are finished. With the item bar, you only need to do this on one character and the rest will follow.
