Default explain it to me like im 2

trying to use Jamba with IS/ISboxer. now the ISBoxer i can get to use in the basic form. and can do quite a bit with it with the basics. but i followed the " up and running with WOW in 30 seconds video. i ran the quick wizard and did the exact same thing Lax did and nothing more. but my outcome was alot different than his.

My groups didnt join up and follow automatically, and therefore couldnt assist. I could turn mouse and keymaps on and off, make all the other toons jump, etc. but the invite wouldnt work, and of course the accept didnt either.

so, im not sure what the hell i am doing wrong, but ive been playing with this for 3 days.

Jamba needs to be aquired to make the auto follow/assist/join things to work i take it. my question is what do i do with Jamba? i unzipped the folder called jamba into the proper WOW folder, but what confused me was the directions told me to do that for each character, master and slave. thats where i am totally lost and need it explained to me like I am 2.

I am thinking that because i dont have jamba in right, that my follow/join/assist/etc wont work right. any help would be appreciated. and as for my ramblings up til this point, if i dont make sense, please ask questions. i dont explain things very good sometimes.

    Thanks in advance.

Hey and welcome to the forums!

From your post, I'm not sure that you have your team set up correctly:

    http://wow.jafula.com/addons/1-jamba...ure-your-group

This lets your team members trust each other (and thus be able to communicate).

    To invite your group; type

    /jamba-group invite

    on your master toon.

Once this is set up correctly, you should be able to get them to follow the master by typing this command on the master character.

    /jamba-follow master all

With quests, you need to open the quest dialog from the NPC on each character before you start doing actions on your master. Your slave toons should mirror the master actions.

Hope that helps a bit, please post if you are still having trouble.

    Default well

when i follow Lax's video on how easy it is to use the quick wizard and immediately have a fuctional group in 30 seconds. i have followed that video, and wizard identically. and there is automatically a keyset to invite the group. i checked the macro and all the names are correct and all. but when i hit that key, it does nothing.

After playing around with this for a few days, i can only assume that i didnt install Jamba correctly. I followed your directions to unzip it in the WoW, interface/addons folder. so now in that folder i have a Jamba folder and a ISBoxer folder. is that correct? and if so, why doesnt the predetermined key work like it does in the video?

I know i could get this thing running with my group without using all of these newer features. i used to play EQ and ran a 5 man team there for awhile. But all of these newer features seem real nice and would make alot of things easier once i get the problem figured out.

oh, and btw...nice idea on your addon and what it does. i saw the video and was floored on how i could just switch toons and the rest would just follow whichever group member i chose without any hastle.

If Lax would explain in a little more detail what he does and what needs to be pressed and what to do to get a certain result he is trying to show.
    thanks

You can tell if Jamba is installed correctly by typing

    /jamba

If a configuration screen appears, then Jamba is installed correctly. I have no idea about ISBoxer sorry - and this will be where your predetermined key is not working. You might like to ask on the IS forums or here on the new multiboxers forum.

One other thing, on installing jamba i have multiple jamba folders in my addon folder

    i.e. Jamaba-core
    jamaba-group

should these all just be in a folder called Jamba within the adons folder?

the /jamba command does not work for me i have to get to the setting via the interface button in wow itself when i presee escape, also auto follow does not work for me.
