[Addon] Jamba - An assistant for multiboxers. Old Thread

I'm sure it's covered somewhere in these 60 pages, but I didn't see it anywhere. This was a thought brought up by a thread from another poster in another section.

For Jamba, do you need to be using one installation of WoW or can you use any number of installations as long as the addon is copied into each ones' addon folder?

I just don't understand how the latter would work. I've downloaded the addon, but haven't gotten around to using it yet, so I haven't had any issues, just wondering about how that worked.

There is internal communication in the addon between the clients.

Can you list the procedure for questing? I notice if I dont open the quest window on slaves and I accept quest on main that jamba will tell me the slaves accepted, but when I check they did not. Also on escort quests with "Auto accept escort quests" checked, if I open window for escort on all slaves and hit accept they will accept the quest, but for some strange reason only the master gets credit. Even the WoW quest pane indicates they are on the quest, but they just wont get credit for it. I solved that by only opening the quest window on the main (for escorts) and it now works fine. I just wish there were a standard such as, "For all quests open quest window dialog with quest giver on main AND slaves so that they accept quest." OR "Only open quest pane on Master for all quests in order that slaves accept it." My2cp.

Escort quests only the master opens the dialog and starts the quest (otherwise it does not work).

Getting quests / handing in quests requires all have the dialog open.

Slaves saying they accepted a quest when they didn't is a bug.

having trouble inviting party members to my guild. Tried checking guild invites. Do you have to be in same city?

I added the group to friends on each, made sure the jamba options to accept invites were checked and nothing (guild invite message in chat pane but no pop up). After a few failures I logged, disabled addons, invited and accepted then went back to normal addon use.

Did you uncheck the auto deny guild invites?


Also another question: Is there a way in game to stop the follow strobe? It seems it shouldnt spam me when my group is flying on a taxi, but damn if it doesnt spam the crap outta me. It would be nice to be able to hit a /jamba stopstrobe macro or something =)

You want.

/jamba-follow strobeoff <tag>

I suggest you use the all tag, so the final slash command that you can macro up is

/jamba-follow strobeoff all

All this does is stop Jamba from strobing the follow command. You still have to press a movement key to stop any existing following.

Have you turned off the auto deny guild invites in Jamba-Me (like Multibocks asks)? If you have and guild invites are still being denied, then we have a bug (similar to the party invite bug).
