I've encountered it.
If you set everything up correctly and it is the 1st boot with Jamba you will not have information updates for your toons until their Health/experience will change. Effectively I suppose that Jamba on toons sends information only when there is some change, not by timer. Untill your toons receive some damage or kill something for XP you will not see anything but just empty bars.
