Ah, cool, I see what you want. I'll add an option to Jamba-Follow for you to suppress follow strobing while drinking.Originally Posted by 'zha',index.php?page=Thread&postID=144539#post1445 39

Jamba - Jafula's Awesome Multi Boxer Assistant. An addon for YOU.
I found a minor issue:
When you have a player in your team, but this player is not online, then you get a lot of warnings on the other characters that this player does not exist. The warning messages are system messages(yellow) in the main chat log.
At this point I solve it by unchecking the checkbox of a character when he's not in my team, but it would be awesome if you could somehow implement a "Exists" validation before trying to send stuff to a character.
Im not losing any sleep over getting banned from using an add on. They are faily tight in what you can modify or do with an addon. And has anyone in fact been banned for using a add on?
Ya I get that spam about offline guys also.
I can well understand that you dont want to add to much in (as it is Jamba is very very cpu friendly) but adding mana and hp bars, and a target and target of target frame in the team display would allow users to junk X-pearl or Pitbull. Also as your product keeps growing at some point you can just plain charge like $9.99 or something. I mean I dont see why someone would not pay a minimal price for a ready to roll multibox add on set up. If you had a pre made full UI similar to Cath or something (keeping CPU usagae to a minimum which is obviously critical to boxers) with Jamba you easy could just charge a flat fee (exspically if you had a way for the slaves to get the UI also with ease when there is a update).
I was under the impression that data mining is when you exploit the data in a stream that is not already available to the public. Auctioneer is not showing you information that is private or privy only to Blizzard it is only organizing that public information for you. At least that is the way I understand it, perhaps I am wrong.Originally Posted by 'Ken',index.php?page=Thread&postID=144606#post1446 06
Either way Blizzard has left it general enough to take whatever action they deem necessary.
now back to talk of Jamba!
in the wow it reads they add ons in the add on folder which are frames and and api& event triggers within lue. xml. tog. you can not make any new api's that blizzard has not put in it is not possible for a add on to be "illegal" if it was BLizzard would change it so those triggers can not be implemented into wow.... now on other notes for what this forum is about
I love this add on it is amazing if I would like to see anything it would be casting bars and members targets I love you even if you do not put that in hehe
Feel the power, love the power!!!! and I Ji?? in my pants
Any GM that would state such a thing would be a liar. (assuming that he knows the Blizzard policies)
Let me quote from http://www.wow-europe.com/en/policy/exploitation.html
Yow! I'm glad to hear that you've email wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com regarding this situation, and it might be a very good idea to let them know that you believe that your account was compromised when this situation occurred.
Unfortunately, there isn't much more I'm able to do on this end, but I genuinely wish you the very best of luck.
Edit: For reference, this had nothing at all to do with Addons.Well, if it's a true 'addon', then it should be fine. You can consult our UI & Macros forum for more information, though will state that we do not typically ban for Addons, and that there is likely much more going on.No, because, as I stated earlier, we do not ban for the use of mods or addons. If you have questions about a particular addon, then it's a good idea to check our UI & Macro forum for more information.
I had a system to do this in place in the very first release of Jamba. It worked fine for some users (including me) and other users couldn't even play the game (see the first two pages in this thread). The system used the friends list to see if the character was connected. T've since tried to find out if a character exists or not with other methods. There is a wow API command called UnitExists, but it only works for party/raid and potentially characters you have interacted with. I know its not good enough for Jamba's purposes, so you are stuck with disabling offline characters.Originally Posted by 'Ken',index.php?page=Thread&postID=144724#post1447 24

I don't want to build unit frames replacements. And I'll never charge for Jamba either. Jamba isn't open source at the moment, but when I have finished development, I'll more than likely open source it and others could take over and make their own modifications. But until then, I'll do my best to accomodate as many of you as possible.Originally Posted by 'Sam DeathWalker',index.php?page=Thread&postID=144736#p ost144736

Pitty! But thank you for the very detailed information :)Originally Posted by 'Jafula',index.php?page=Thread&postID=144862#post1 44862
Using the checkbox isn't much trouble though, since I can broadcast the settings anyway ^^
Building Unitframes is a full time job all in itself or could be. Pitbull and others allow enough custom abilities to create the bars you want. I fear that this mod might grow to large myself. The addition of buy and sell is outstanding but again there are mods that do that very effectively now and while this has allowed me to do away with those mods I would have been just as happy without this feature.Originally Posted by 'Jafula',index.php?page=Thread&postID=144863#post1 44863
what I am excited about is the targetting featues. I do not use them yet but I see so much potential.
Keep up the great work I can not tell you how much we appreciate it.
