Yeah, I know. Any time mutliboxing is mentioned, people get all butt-hurt because they've been one-shot in some AV one day and don't like that one bit.
HEY YOU! YEAH, YOU! YOU, THE ONE WHO CAME HERE AFTER SEEING SOMEONE MUTLIBOXING AND JUST GOT HERE

    Pure gold.
In my short time spent boxing I've come across a number of similar people.

My very favourite was a shaman who followed me around yesterday in Hillsbrad for about 2 hours. All the way from the Zep at UC, I ran on my slow level 30 mounts to Hammerfall with this level 70 in tow.
Normally it gets annoying having people on follow gawking and just being obnoxious, but this guy was one of the ones who can have a decent conversation, whilst staying out of your way!
Managed to gank a 70 mage (he was resto, so took a beating) with all 5 of my shamans spamming heals on him, with oh so tasty grounding totems ensuring I took minimal damage.
Finally made it to Hammerfall, with only 2 other encounters which ended up with the alliance running away as fast as possible. When there I spent the next hour just chatting, jumping, making formations and droping a butload of totems to light up the flight masters deck.
Didn't even realise how much time I spent mucking around with someone random who /f my main from UC.

Funnily enough mid chatting I had another guy who butted in by saing "pardon me, but I have a question". I love these kind of people, they have manners and are polite! It's wonderful.
"What would be better to play, rogue or priest?" thankfully I have a 70 of each, both in mostly good gear so was able to let him know the finer points of each class.

I digress. After an hour or so of chatting I decided it was time to go kill some stuff. At which point along came a Hater. Apparently I have no life, am wasting my money and am a virgin.
He cut me deep. So deep that even 5x Lesser Healing Waves couldn't heal me.

Another tale of Hammerfall woes, some random was spamming general, what he was saying I can't remember. Alas, to brighten the mood I proceeded to recite one of bash.org's finer Roses are Red poems, to wit:

    Zapcowone says: Roses are red.
    Zapcowtwo says: Violets are blue.
Zapcowthree says: I'm going to fuck you with a rake.

Needless to say about 10 minutes later I had a GM saying that I have received a warning, but refused to tell me what for. Apparently someone didn't have the bubblewrap and earmuffs secured tightly and I offended them.
If I reported every person who abused me I'd have a GM ticket open permanently.

I'm yet to start multiboxing myself, just waiting for my new rig to arrive to get started...

But in the past i've had many "WoW Projects" just things out of the ordinary I take apon myself to complete, which usually results in me telling my "friends" on MSN/In-Game before I start them...

So, I decide to do something else that isn't the "norm" and multibox 5 characters and I am utterly horrified by responses from some so called "friends" who I thought I had on-line, being flammed by them before even starting worrys me for what I will recieve from other players in-game, I didn't know how to take these people, I couldn't figure out if they were jealous or just... small minded lamers.

Anyway, I've just been telling people to not hate what they don't rate and that usually keeps them quite long enough for me to slap an ignore on them.

Here is another kind which I would have never expected:

    The Student:
Someone who whispers you and asks you how you are doing that, so you tell him and point him to the wiki for information (repeatedly). He then asks you which software you are using. 5 minutes later he says "I installed the software, what do I do next?"

I might be willing to babysit a friend through this process but sure as hell not some random guy that whispers me.

I have to admit, I use to hate you guys, and thought you guys were wasting money and time for doing this. Judging a book by its cover, but after I opened it and started reading, seems like a very fun and some what inexpensive hobby.(Comparded to other Hobbys like fishing, gardening, etc, and more fun). I can't wait till I start doing this.
Did you come here from the Gen. WoW forums from my repost?

nah, just saw a old Ellay vid and started researching and came here.

To much of those. I`m not even high lvl yet and I`m getting sick of appairantly 12year olds who keep annoying you with these questions. I think some GMlike macro`s would be nice. Just auto reply the same over and over.

This is when I happily announce I'm a hardware multiboxer.

    "Where do I get that?"

Oh, my multiplexer [url='http://vetra.com/884text.html']runs in the $500 range[/url].

    They shut RIGHT up.

I have one macro that works 95% of the time. I send all yells, tells, and says to a special chat window on my main so I can browse the higher order intelligence trade/general channel chat in peace.

90% of all interactions with my toons start and end with "wtf?"

10% get my attention enough via a tell for me to spam my auto reply:
    Code:
    MACRO 1 "mbox" INV_Misc_QuestionMark
/r google multibox wow. I play 5 different accounts on 1 computer. cheers
    END
Few of the "replied" to are worth chatting with for the above reasons and rarely get much more out of me unless they are nice. I broke this rule this morning before breakfast had satiated my belly. I found that replying to the queued up genius line "you know that's like 13$ per account" with "I pay for these accounts so that I don't have to play with u" will normally incite your expected 30min berating from the offending character.

Being a holy priest for 2-3yrs I actually took up a keyboard spot just for "/r no thx, gl" so I have had some time to optimize my response for minimal fuss and baby sitting. While I am at it...what is the text inside of your auto reply macro?

Most of the ones I get are those that just follow me around trying to figure out WTF is happening. I recently started playing with 5 totally different looking characters and with totally different names and I have noticed that people have started leaving me a lone more often as usually they can't tell I am boxing. Of course the new guild I started is kinda of a give away.... "All By Myself". Lol.
