Default Exp loss with a 70 healing you?

    I'm wondering....

Does anyone knows if there is an xp loss when aoe grinding on a level 60 with a level 70 not in the party healing you?

I have a level 60 pally I would like to level. I also have access to a level 70 healer that I can duel box with. So I wanna try AoE grinding while the level 70 heals me. I don't know if it is gonna hurt my xp gain though. Does anyone have any information on this?

AFAIK, mobs need to con green to out-of-group helpers in order to not lose XP; so, L62+ mobs for a L70 helper. Some abilities such as Earth Shield, PW:S, and HoTs cast before combat won't affect you XP.

Not to be a jerk... but I would like to give a gentle reminder that if the healer you 'have access to' is on an account not in your name, you run the risk of getting all involved accounts banned if you multi-box them.

multiboxing IS allowed, but using someone elses account is NOT. As long as both accounts are in your name, you are fine, otherwise, you are headed towards the ban hammer.

I think that if you are out of party, healing wont affect exp, but if you are tagging mobs that are green to the other party, you are sure to get full exp. I think.

So, I shouldnt multibox with my brothers account and mine because theyre not in the same name?

    Absolutely correct.

I suggest reading the various getting started and how-to sections on the WIKI or sticky in the beginner's forum as they give you a lot of info on what to do and specifically what not to do w.r.t. multiboxing.

If you guys live in the same house and play from the same PC(s) normally, I think you're gonna be OK. It's not legal to share accounts, but they will have little way to ever suspect that you're account sharing if it's where you two are normally playing your accounts.

But we got completly diffrent names, and we dont have the same parents, cuz he's my halfbrother, so like yeah, is there a big chance of getting banned? :<

Assuming you're talking about WoW, the answer is emphatically yes.

Same address, same surname is all COMPLETELY irrelevant. If it's not your account, you're not allowed to play it.

GMs can tell the difference between accounts being played by lots of people from the same IP address and those being multiboxed. People could debate the LIKELIHOOD of a ban - especially on a healer being played manually - until the cows come home, but there are plenty of posts knocking around the archives of these forums to show what a bad idea it is to do what you're suggesting.

I'd say avoid doing that then.
