My Boomkin finally hit L70, and I've considered running him in place of one of my shamans for a Healer+Boomkin+3xShaman team. He's horrifically undergearred at the moment, but I think it might be fun to try. My most recent Healer buddy has been a druid, so if we ran with a second druid in place of a shaman, we could potentially have two cyclones. Other perks are would be having a ranged root available to start the matches off (we have used this to good effect currently, but it requires my healer buddy to come out of stealth), +5% crit while in form, and a second innervate.
Any thoughts from a theorycraft perspective? Would miss another set of totems, but 2 cycloned enemies at the beginning of a match might be nice!!
Additionally, I have been running the druid in 3v3 matchups where I use Boomkin+2xShamans. Able to sustain about a 1550 rating with this setup, my healer partner and I have tried running some Druid Healer + 2xShaman 3s teams with some early success between 1500-1600. My partner basically ties up one of their team with cyclone and stuns/warstomp while I burn down one of the other. Alternatively, they go after him first and I just nuke away until someone goes down. Obviously not as much burst as in 5s, but the druid can be offensive to great effect with his powers and we are very hard to kill, even if they all focus fire.
Anyhow, anyone tried swapping in an odd druid into their 5v5 team? Also, any great luck with 3s using 2+Healer?
