So trial and error... don’t do like I did and pick the left side which gives damage bonus but is lessened with the more players you have in the group.
I didn’t realize the other side stacked and is insanely good for us. Each rank gives 50 insanity to the entire group. With a full 5 person group that brings your base insanity level from 1000 to 1750 (almost double!) .
Needless to say I feel a bit behind now and am going to work on that section now.

I've run a few of these now and the mechanics are sometimes beyond insane. It may come down to the same method as Mythic+ weeks, where if the affix's are just too offensive to just not do that week. Or do a low key.
From my observation Org felt easier than Stormwind. Alleria is a bit annoying and cancels out melee specs with the aoe move that you need to hide from, it could also just be the affix this week was brutal for a stacked team.

Beyond that, a full clear of all 4 locations + the boss rewards 445 loot. Which is what I am already getting doing Mythic +6. Adding in the masks and doing a full clear will increase the ilvl by 5 per mask. The overall scaling difficulty of this doesn't feel like it coincides with the rewards that Mythic + offers.

Each Mask is 20% more hp and damage from mobs, so in order to get the equivalent of a +10 Mythic + reward I would need to do 2 masks and a full clear. I just don't see that being feasible with a full group setup, and potentially we'll just need to run these solo to be realistic.

I'm also not saying Mythic + is easy as well, but I did run a +7 and it felt fine in Mechagon which is definitely harder than other tiers.

End result of my thoughts on this, these Horiffic Visions reward you for dodging mechanics, as some of them cause massive sanity drain. Sometimes we just can't dodge things when a character has their own unique thing to move from in a different changing direction.
So my end goal for now is to just do what I can as a group to level up my cloak and when that hits a wall I'll run them solo to do it.

Since I only play 3 this is how I look at horiffic visions as well. I dont enjoying banging my head against the wall for an unlimited amount of time. Since my main enjoyment is pvp, I usually just buy +10s runs or this season I may buy +15s. Although, maybe I have seen enough of 8.3 and will just wait until beta.

i have found that my hunters own these HVs solo. My goal is to get my main team as high of a cloak as i can and at some point just focus on my 3 hunters. I enjoy it with them.

I just did horrific visions with the whole team in Org and did both corrupted zones + thrall, and finished with a ton of time left. The cloak getting upgraded and adding Expansive Mind 3/3 is huge. Once you get more momentos Elite Extermination will be helpful as well.
Because I had so much time left after clearing 2 wings I tried one of the Lost zones and the affix was just too much. Split personality is basically a no go.
I'm happy with the progress though of not having to run it solo and I've maxed out my cloak at Rank 8 which is as high as I can go and I will just bank the rest of these vials for now.

i got wrecked on my solo enhance vs Thrall. Fastest ive seen my Earth Ele die so far. I'm only enhance because i have infinite stars on my enhance weapons. I'm probably going to go in as 3's and 2's on my pally team after reading this.

I just run them all solo.. it's not worth the trouble otherwise.

As your cloak level increases and the drain gets lower, it becomes easier to box it. When all my cloaks hit 5 on my two paly+3hunters team, i did my first 5 man run. I only did the side wing because i was learning how to play a team for the first time, but I got all my cloaks to level 6. I can see it getting easier each cloak upgrade. Your insanity loss is slow. However, once you start needing the hard areas to upgrade your cloak..not looking forward to that. It is nice to be able to knock out the runs on a team instead of solo, due to needing to be in the visions longer.

I still need to do more testing but huge gameplay change for these.

Decided to go as 5x Boomkin, the mobs hit for a lot less and the run was overall much easier.
I'm wondering if I go 5x Resto if it'll cause the mobs to scale even lower in hp but not sure if I can get the damage higher.
So if you can don't run with a tank from what I can tell.
