RFK - Eye of Killrog Big Pull - Warrior, Priest, 2x mage, Warlock

Yea I was doing sheeps and single targets up until level 30 where I started messing around with aoe pulls in RFK and it's so much better. Spamming demo shout to get most of the agro while the aoe of the mages + warlock goes to town. Priest flash heals anyone who needs it. It's best to start practicing on a lot lower levels than you until you get comfortable with the pulls and mechanics so this spot is perfect at lvl 30. The most important thing IMO is a good shield that gives a lot of armor. I think I am going to upgrade mine to an epic soon since I plan on doing pulls like this to 60.

One beauty of the 3mage or 2mage+warlock setups is that you can choose between single target focus fire DPS or AoEing.

When you are new to a dungeon and unfamiliar with the layout and mechanics & the mobs are closer to your level you can limit AoE to your Tank and focus DPS on single mobs while the Tank locks down aggro on that mob via Threat.

You can be much more aggressive when an instance is barely green (almost grey) to you and go pretty crazy with AoE.

While melee-cleave groups are getting a lot of focus right now it is hard to argue with the beauty & flexibility of a ranged group.

I think my xp/hour doing single spells was like 10-15k an hour, and now that its 50k a lvl I had to change it up because that's just not good enough haha. With these pulls you can probably get 20-40k an hour. do 3 eye pulls a dungeon (maybe even a little more) then reset.

I am running almost the same combo, except i use bear tank.
What talent spec you use for the mages/warlock?

I suspect Paladin Tank could also be viable and possibly optimal for some folk as it can both push AoE threat on itself and reduce threat on the group (and even apply bubble to save folk if/as needed).

This is amazing and this group composition is ideal for many people and being at range has many, many advantages.

Note that the instance is significantly lower level than his characters and I am pretty sure that you can't play this aggressively on the top dungeons at cap and will thus be much more limited on large volume AoE at cap.

Video VFX to capture the screen region of the follower account(s) - so you make a source VFX on them name it and keep it as Auto on the bottom so it loads every time you open up your set - then you go to your main and setup a viewer from the source you just named. Click the region and make sure you put it as a repeater and sync/apply it. Then you can click from your warrior to that button. ...

That sounds similar to what I am doing with VFX regions on my lead Warrior to click on the Vuhdu healing raid frame on my healer(s).

One weird thing I am seeing is that if I use a move key (arrows, aswd, etc) on the foreground window while clicking on the VFX region the minion in the background gets the movement key command as well and if I mouse away while the move key is pressed the alt just takes keeps moving (or spinning/turning). It is a real pain when it happens and kinda hard to get it to stop (have to keep sending keys to get it to stop). I can mostly stop it from happening by deliberately not moving when leveraging a VFX region but sometimes when things get tense I mistakenly move making a bad situation worse.

Have you (or anyone else) had this problem and know any way to stop it?

This has raised more questions for me... how is clicking on that icon sending anything to the mages, is a vfx or repeater?
Also when you say you click the formation... you mean you click on your warrior and your toons move? If so, you’re going to have to pull a mirai on that and explain how you did it so someone as dense as me can replicate it.

I would suggest following this guide - He uses repeater regions instead of vfx with repeater regions, but its basically the same thing and probably better lol.

as far as the formation thing goes, there are certain base hotkeys you can assign in ISBOXER, one of them is the V formation, i just set the hotkey to my ` key. Clicking this break them out of anything they are doing such as channeling a wand or spell.

I have never personally had that happen to me but you could just set up repeater regions instead of vfx and have buttons in exact positions on the main as they are on the followers which might fix it?

might have to consider lvling up a warlock into the mix and dumping the pally, sounds like good overall build.
