Cross Realm Zoning Interfering with Brewfest quests

Heya,

I'm doing Brewfest, aiming to get weapon heirloom upgrade items.

One daily for this event involves bonking the invading Dark Iron dwarves with beer mugs. When they retreat, a gear gets left behind on the ground with a daily quest on it.

So, team A, say, fought the fight. It ends. Gear picked up, no problem. They log out.

Team B logs in... they see the gear, grab it no problem. They log out.

Team C logs in, and...no gear. Different Realm. Confirmed by an outside-of-team character standing there looking at the gear still there.

It's a bit annoying trying to load up quests when you phase out of the realm where the quest item is known to be

Can you teach me how to pop over to other realms' version of the zone?

Can't you just invite from the character whose realm you wish to be pulled over to?

I don't know how to identify which realm is the active one, or the relevant one. Having a side character isn't a given.

For example, just now, logged an alt in, see a gear. Log out, log in a full team, no gear.

You can't just switch at will, but your original scenario stated that one character, outside of your team, could see something you wanted to share. So, with that information, you'd invite your team using the character who can see what you want the others to see, as they'd be pulled over to the character who's sending the invitations. Otherwise, you can't just pick a different shard to move to whenever you want, and it kinda sounds like you're trying to game the system by sharing something between multiple teams—sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it's not designed to work that way.

I am simply trying to do the event and seeing the quest-giving gear sometimes disappear way early -- which is not CRZ as I miss-titled, but sharding, with a slight bug.

Not trying to "game the system" -- doing what I've done since the year they introduced Brewfest. The way it was designed to work.
