I liked what they mentioned about heirlooms, it would work like how mounts and pets work nowadays. My guess would be that this could make them cross realm.

I wonder if it will still be possible to move them between battle.net accounts with a character transfer. (like you can cage pets and transfer them, or like mounts that can't be passed around)

i say it work like mounts/pets do now. once there off you email they do not move with the char.

There's a cage functionality for pets that come from items, but nothing similar for mounts. That's the distinction I was pointing out.To me, it seems to make sense that you'd pull out heirlooms somehow (turn into an item) as they need to end up equipped. Unless of course they make bigger changes to equipment, but that doesn't seem like a x.y.1 patch change.

If heirlooms are checked out or copied out of the collection for usage, that usable item could easily be mailed/etc (especially if the checked out version is the version that exists today).

Ya I understand what your saying but I think it be a UI that be more of a spell/buff that changes your slot a bit like the cape for wow bday. They did say when we will see it and it be a xpac selling point.
