Default Xbox One!!! ( Bliz new MMO? ) and stuff

Ok.. so just speculation here... if you watch this video http://www.gamespot.com/features/the...opslot%3bSlot1 .. at the end is Activison announcing exclusive CoD content for the new xbox. It got me thinking and so i will predict, the new blizzard MMO will be for ( or playable ) on XBOX One! What ya think? maybe? no way? ( i base this on what was talked about in the video..the timing of it all, etc.. )

I have not owned a console for about 3 years or so.. i have owned them all at one point or another, but MMOs have taken so much of my gaming time.. they mostly collected dust..or were used for playing DvDs. But i must say, after watching the xbox one reveal video,, i am pretty damn excited about it! I wont spoil anything.. go watch it if you haven't yet. Some pretty awesome announcements. They are saving most the gaming announcements for E3, but theres some great ones in the video!

Seeing as Blizzard is releasing Diablo for the PS3 and PS4, I doubt their next-gen MMO will be exclusive to XBox One. Playable on consoles? Perhaps. Exclusive to XBox One? Doubtful.

It might be cool to have console players join PC players to help liven up the world with more people, but I see a few shortcomings with that:

    1) Console players would most likely be forced to purchase an extra mouse/keyboard so that they could play. If Blizzard's next-gen MMO has anywhere near as many abilities per class (assuming there are some types of classes or roles to choose from with more abilities than what D3 uses) as WoW does, then you won't be able to fit all of them onto a handheld controller.

    2) I'm going to bet that most guilds who are into some sort of semi-serious progression would blacklist console players from their ranks for whatever reason and that's going to lead to more whining from the

    3) Console players who've never played an MMO before are going to step into the MMO world with their l33t CoD skillz and be as good as BR players on NA realms. There, I said it. >_>

SquareEnix put out FFXI on PS2 and, from what I understand, it worked out just fine; but FFXI was/is a very slow-paced game that ran at 30FPS and all casting was pretty much done through menus via key bindings (think action bar pages) and there was no need for a mouse.

Good god who would buy a Wii-U? Ugh.

On another note, I think Blizzard could drop down the number of abilities to work with a controller. Neverwinter convinced me it can work and still have some interesting play mechanics. How long I stay interested in it... well, time will tell.

Its had a terrible adoption rate so far. Not that I'm predicting a loss for Nintendo already.

I remember finally giving in to an invitation from a friend who back then worked for microsoft, to attend one of their launch parties. It was a big ass launch event in Brussels, and it was winter so I guess jan/feb 2000, for Windows 2000. Best food, best drinks, laser, a dj, ... really well done. The actual presentation told us how big of an impact this new OS would have on our lives. It would make us really happy, it would be so easy to communicate, ... and above all you could actually command your computer with your voice (which turned out to be a Lernout and Hauspie trick later on).

13 years later it's basically the same deal, but a bit more updated. I didn't see much about games in that video, but more about how to make your machine do stuff with weird gestures and how fast screens can swap. And of course that this machine will make man kind really happy.

The launch event was mis understood. Gamers were let down with the focus not being on games, but more on the whole box. Their intention was to focus on the "one" and not one part. They said almost at the start that they were saving a lot of the game reveals for E3. For me, since the non game info is what i liked, anything extra will be a bonus. IF the voice and hand gestures make my TV experience as cool and easy as they made it sound.. ill be happy to purchase it just for that, everything else will be a bonus.

I should add that i do agree that they "should" have included a lot more game info. I mean XBOX has always been about games. It should have been 60% game info and then " ok.. so now you see how bad ass our new games will be on the new xbox.. but wait! look at all this other cool shit t can do" Even though "the other shit" is what Im excited about.. i understand that most people are more interested in the games.

Also, i wonder why they just didn't wait to reveal it ALL at E3. Based on a lot of articles out there on the web.. PS4, at least on paper, sounds like it will have more for power for gaming.. more ram for example. Well have to wait and see.

Well if you see how fast technology changes, then it's quite stupid to focus so much on what the xbox can do. 2y after it's launch pc's (or any other derivative) will do what the xbox does, but better, cheaper, faster, and etc ... and keep in mind that the xbox has a life span of what, 6-7 years? It's about games, not about anything else.
