Thumbs up Jade Temple Elemental Farming

Figured I'd post a screenshot of this. This is the uninstanced version of Jade Temple, the quest chain you get in Jade Forest. The water elementals are not aggressive so you can get yourself set up easily, they spawn endlessl from multiple locations and the XP per hour is very good without having to deal with the monkey grinding.

I used this location for a few bars here and there from 85-90, but from 88.5-90 I did it nonstop for several hours. Ended up being <5 hours for 89-90 completely unrested with guild banner.

With casters you could easily pull the whole room, I think ele shaman would do excellent here. With DKs I had to setup a way where I could get everything but eventually I got it to where it was non-stop, zero downtime, always 5-10 elementals.

The drops are also great, you can go back there and farm motes even at 90 if you haven't turned in the final quest. We're talking 5+ motes a minute from these guys, maybe more. My bags filled up and I was just trying to hit 90 so I quit looting at some point but I remember looting up to 16 motes at once after a few big pulls.

I ended up with 27 spirits (270 motes) from this in a few levels, I've no doubt if I looted nonstop I'd have more like 50-75. This would be an excellent spot to bring in Jeeves and use your guild bank cooldown to offload all the crap they drop and keep your motes and boe greens to vendor or disenchant.

So here's how I setup to farm with DK's. I used a couple macros to random target enemies, pull and kill with howling blast and finish everything off with frost strike. Death strike was used to keep them topped off at all times, no healer required. Death and Decay was used to pull the mobs behind me - I simply had three DKs have their camera angle turned around.

I love this place. Did at least 3 lvls while getting my shaman to 90. Working on my DKs now. Even nonrested is way faster than questing. Biggest problem is my spam finger gets numb after a while.... Lol.
I also freely pvp here without the thought of getting mobbed by a group of 90s.
Crazy thing is after about 5 mins of grinding here, it seems that the mobs start spawning faster.

I still have not found this quest. I went back and just started doing all the quests in the zone with my 90 pal..i was hoping you could get it early and skip a lot of the quests. At what point in the zone progression do you get this, or the starting quest? Middle, end?
Currently 5 Boxing 5 Protection Paladins on Whisperwind Alliance
The Power of Five!!! ( short video )

Correct me if I am wrong but from what I recall this is part of a quest line and I presume the original poster is simply not handing in the quest when completed?

Yeah I did this for 7 or 8 hours straight yesterday, my DKs were at 88.5 and I wanted to get in a few conquest points from BGs and some 2v2 arena before close otherwise I'd wait another week before I'd be able to get weapons. Definitely numb fingers, nearly fell asleep a couple of times, but it was definitely worth it.

There are very few people in here because it's phased, if they don't have the quest they can't get in, if they've completed it they can't get in. A few horde ran by and observed, one tried to tag my mobs and have me kill them, at which time I stopped DPS and let all his tagged mobs kick the crap out of him, and he left. Some others tried to farm but realized I was tagging everything so they gave up. Had 2-3 alliance show up and get death gripped and howling blasted due to my macro and random target spamming. Most of them ran for their lives.

One 88 paladin played rambo and I heard gladiosa announce avenging wrath and a ton of cooldowns, he runs into my swarm of elementals, I couldn't even see or target him but i got gibbed by the aoe. Was pretty funny

It is odd they do seem to start spawning faster. When I get there at first, there's only 6-10 elementals across the entire area. As I pull they seem to spawn faster and faster until I'm waiting for D&D cooldown to finish so I can pull the ones behind me. Once I got the pulls going I never had less than 6-10 elementals on me no matter how fast I was killing them.

It's maybe a third or half way through Jade Forest. You're going to do all the starter quests obviously, then all the stuff with the Hozen, including the stupid scenarios that are difficult to box, the dude in the cave that makes you follow him to a bunch of shrines, the area where you kill alliance intruders, bomb the fish looking dudes in front of town, collect logs off the ground, etc. Shortly after that area you'll get a quest to jade temple and it begins.

Feel free to do all the quests there - set off fireworks, collect the little dragons, kill the bookworms, etc. Go to the water elemental guy, loot the staff, even turn the quest into him and it won't end it. It only ends when you turn in the final quest (from the water guy) to the panda at the quest hub in the temple. I dropped that quest so I wouldn't turn it in accidentally.

Also, and this cost me an hour, once you leave, since it's actually an phase on top of what is normally a regular area with an instance, you have to talk to a female panda just up the stairs and she will teleport you into the phased version. That's how you get back in at any time. Once you're in, turn left to the hallway with water, and there are the elementals.

I really, really wish I knew about this on m shaman; they've been 90 for weeks but I cannot get back in... those guys could tear up the place, perhaps the mobs would spawn even faster.

Also, the water elementals drop every JC meta pattern, after only an hour or two thre you will have the pattern to cut every single meta, even the weird ones. I ended up with at least 16 different patterns, and enough to pass to my alts in case they go JC as well. If you happen to be missing some JC meta patterns, grind there for an hour and you'll have them all.

What is the XP per mob?
I have been doing the brewery with the first 5 guys, rinse and repeat, guaranteed 150k in 2 mins, how does this compare? I am not too concerned on the loot as the brewery is VERY mindless and allows me to watch TV lol

I can't remember the amounts at lower levels but at 89 they were around 2600 each with guild banner. Unlike brewery it is nonstop, no resetting, no elites to run through at the beginning, and not limited to 40 mobs. I did monkey grinding on my shaman and hated it, I didn't find it all that mindless, in fact it got really irritating and the zero loot thing sucked.

This is so mindless you stand in one place and hit one key forever. The loot is excellent and it's 3-5 hours per level at full speed. Probably close to monkey grinding, without the hassle, and with more loot. The amount of motes you get is what makes it worth it.

Actually in Stormstout Brewery it is the first 5 elites I kill to get the 150k, I have a click bar which disbands the group and then invite which resets the dungeons and I am back in again. It is VERY midless lol

Doing the math here, I think this area is faster.

It's about 23 million experience from 89-90. It took just under five hours for that level. If my math is correct that is 76k experience per minute with loot, so 230k per three minutes just standing in one place.
