Answer your own question Electron, Im not familiar enough with Star Wars lore. I am one of those "only seen the movies" folks.

Whats to stop that from happening in WoW? The abilities that they've provided within the universe for warriors.

Perhaps the same is true for Star Wars, I am admittedly ignorant of deep lore (can only go by what Ive seen).
I never saw anything to indicate that if Luke wanted to (say he "went to the dark side") he couldn't have destroyed any number of Han Solos.

Im not anti star wars at all im just saying. Im not even a really big "story" or lore guy, not the type to let something like that stop me from playing a game. I just dont get it (especially from a game that it touting its enhanced stories as a feature).

I hope its awesome and me bringing this up seems foolish in hindsight.
Currently running 10 miners in Eve Online.

Chewy would have bashed Luke's brains across the room while Luke was choking Solo.

    LOL, I love that.

Yeah, in theory people can do stuff that seems overpowered. But the game will have rulesets and conditions that stop that. What stops a rogue from just backstabbing you every .001 secs and you die.. Well, GCD is one thing, and his energy is another. I haven't played SWTOR yet. But imagine that a jedi has a energy bar just like a rogue. Imagine that a jedi can do powers, but only after he charges up something with smaller spells (think ramp up time with WOW chars), similar to rogue's combo points.

Imagine that a bounty hunter (ranged and jumping ability) could just jump up and keep attacking you, but you can't jump up and hit him (you are melee). He could just kite you and kill you. Yeah, that can happen, it is a counter to you, but you are probably a counter to something else. At least that is how I hope they do things. SW Galaxies supposedly had a OP class (jedi) and that didn't work out so well. WOW has even had times with classes OP. I just hope they notice it and fix it.

For me, it feels different than WOW. It has a different playstyle (choose good or bad). Maybe I am just deluding myself and can't spell, so good and bad in SWTOR is just rep from WOW. Same thing just spelled differently. How they respond to things that people want is what matters to me. 6 Years to get an "apperance tab" is too long. 6 years to get a LFR interface is too long. 6 Years to allow crazy more storage is too long. I hope SWTOR can make changes faster.

I was at gamescom thursday but sadly din`t play this game. 3hour line is a bit to much lol. Still better then the 4+ for d3 haha

I did however got the chance to play guildwars2 pvp twice. That game is just freaking fucking awesome. GW2 will be huge. TOR will allways make money as well. Enough fanboys around. However I think when it comes to new a new mmo for the general public GW2 is the title.
