Anyone been successful in soloing BoT trash for epics?

For those of you 5 boxing this, how much CC do you find is necessary for success here? I only have 1 hex on my team, so I'm wondering if I would be able to survive tanking the entire pack minus one?

Agreed, I honestly don't think I could do it without 4 ccs and when one breaks early or gets resisted I usually throw town earth elementals and run out of the instance to reset.

What are the chances of 6 ppl doing this successfully? ilvl 355 paly tank, 4 ilvl 346+ shamans and 1 geared priest healer?

Definitely doable. I've been doing it a bit with 6; I've had a lot of wipes, but most of that is because I use fear for one of my CCs.

2x destro lock
1x elemental shammy
1x resto shammy
1x resto druid

Just have two healers and you'll be fine. The ONLY times I wipe are when the locks' fears break (I have both locks casting on the same mob for the first group of 4). With 3-4 hexes it would be no problem at all.

I can't survive long if two are up, so for me the key is to only fight one at a time. If i can do that, it's easy. If I can't, it's nearly impossible. Also, my guys aren't nearly that geared...my tank is still using 325 green legs. I do have 4 epics on my tank, but still...lots of 316 blues and 339 pvp gear.


edit: I also think the first group of 4 and possibly the groups of 5 would be trivial with just 5 people with enough hex/sheep. As long as you can fight only 1 mob at a time, it is easy to survive.

How quickly do you down a group with the 4 x cc method. Just wondering if its worth going in there with the frosty DKs. I know they don't have single target CCs but I normally just cc goups with hungering cold and round robin it. Doing this and without resists I can get 40s of cc to kill 4 out of 5 mobs. I guess the other option would be to run 4 DW blood DKs? Should really get my ass into gear and get in and have a look I suppose :P

The market for these epics on my server has completly crashed atm. People don't buy it, even if you sell it cheap. Prices are going down very fast, I'm just very glad I've made 400+ k on this so far.

Or server move a toon to another server loaded with epics to sell. After you sell those and move your gold back

Good news and bad news from me regarding farming.

The good news is that I've been able to do the first group of 4 with as few as 4 toons. pally tank, 1x destro warlock, 2x resto shaman. Easy as pie with enough CC and doing them 1 at a time. My tank is alright, but nothing special...only 5 epics.

The bad news is that I haven't gotten a single epic off of them. Probably just bad RNG, but I have killed at least 100 NPCs, so although they can drop epics, I wouldn't be surprised if they nerfed the droprate.
