Handling group healing

If you're using ISBoxer, VuhDo (or another click type healing addon) plus Repeater Regions seems to be the way to go. I have my priest setup with some hotkeys to specifically heal my tank, but for the rest of the group I just click the appropriate party member frame on my tank to have the priest cast a heal, with the type of click determining what heal they receive.

If you don't have/want to use the above, a simple macro function on your slave that might work would be some variation of:

/assist Tank
/cast [target=help] Healing Wave; [target=targettarget] Healing Wave

That would have your slave cast a heal on whoever your tank is targeting if they were friendly, or whatever player is currently being attacked by the mob your tank has targeted. I think anyways, I'm not so keen on the macros and that's what a quick google turned up. This is not a very good option since it won't be able to heal periodic or AoE damage effectively, and your tank would have to sacrifice time building threat to direct your shamans heals, but it might do in a pinch for basic stuff.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am using ISBoxer. However, please correct me if I'm wrong but don't repeater regions mean I have to enable the broadcast option that allows you to use your mouse for all toons? I found that to be quite laggy to be honest. Is that what you were suggestion? So I would install VuhDo on both toons so that when I clicked on the spot where the addon is with my paladin the request is actually processed by my shaman? Or something close to that.

Only a portion of the screen gets broadcast, and then only to those toons you specify, so it might be worth playing with and seeing if it affects your performance much. Right now I'm running 5 toons, and I have 4 different repeater regions setup to the 4 different toons, and don't notice any performance problems.

You have the setup right though, you'll want a VuhDo window on your paladin to match the one on your shaman. In the VuhDo options, turn off the "You First" and then sort by Name so that the order is identical on both. Then just setup a repeater window where you want to stick the VuhDo frame

Control-Alt-Shift-G was the default to bring up the GUI in game. It's a pretty simple process.


On an unrelated performance note, I'm still very new to mboxing myself as I've only been at it a few weeks, but the other day I played around with the Max/Min FPS options (team character slot setting in ISBoxer, or /maxfps # in WoW) and it made all the difference in the world. When the toons are in the background I limit them to 10FPS. I went from stuttering and freezing every time I went to Orgrimmar with 4 toons, to being able to run through it without problem with 5.

Thanks again for the response! You answered an additional question I had regarding the character order for the groups! I also made a 4 man team(3 mages, 1 priest to level who will eventually play with a 53 paladin I have waiting). I am overly excited to accomplish this. The queue times on my server for a tank/healer are non-existent so I was hoping to fly through 71-80 via LFD. Thanks again for your help!
