New Server using RAF but linked to multiple existing accounts

So with the non RAF following the 1 - 60 guide from here, do you just follow the guide till you get to a certtain level once there is no RAF involved? I would think toons would fall behind the RAF guide pretty fast and no be able to kill the mobs because of being too high?
