    Well, take care of the school stuff first, as that will be with you forever. The boxing is fun, but its definitely secondary.

    Part of the gem thing, is the cyclical nature. It goes up with new content or a new arena season, and then gradually falls as most people get their upgrades. With the release of Cataclysm a ton of people will be gearing up again, so the prices should rise. Not sure if there will be epic gems immediately, or if the gold will be made on elemental transmutes such as Earth to Water or what not.

    500k in gearing toons and other expenses is quite a bit, but as long as you have your nest egg for the start of Cataclysm, you'll be able to level the alchemy fairly fast, which will let you experience the high selling points of the expansion... release, 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 along with their respective arena seasons.

    The DK and Ret team, its got a lot going for it.
    And from what we've heard, it will retain most of the good features in Cataclysm too.

    It retains all but 1 feature and gains another 6-7... its going to OWN.

    I think ret pallies are getting screwed - BIG time. They said they are going to lower defenses and healing for rets, they get no significant new abilities besides the winged creature 3 min cooldown.


    • Divine shield is being nerfed
    • Divine Storm is going to do less damage "Divine Storm will get the Whirlwind treatment (less damage per target but unlimited targets)."
    • Cleanse is nurfed
    • "In general, we don't want buttons that are good against single targets to just be better against groups of targets. It makes rotations too static and makes numbers hard to balance since "cleavey" specs can do so much more damage against tight packs of enemies. Some higher damage is fine. It just too extreme right now."
    • they said they feel the need for pallies to take more chances - which means they are going to lower defense.
    • 'We feel Retribution paladins need one more mechanic which involves some risk of the player pushing the wrong button, making the rotation a bit less forgiving."
    • " Furthermore, the healing environment of Cataclysm is going to be different such that a paladin may not be able to fully heal themselves during the duration of Divine Shield"

    I think DKs are getting some nice buffs though.

    I think DKs are getting some nice buffs though.
    The damage wirlwind does on a single target is still pretty decent, so its not like "zomg nerfbat!". Divine shield gets reduced by 4 seconds... cool that really doesn't matter much for how i've seen boxers use it. Lower defence means take more chances how? We don't use an actual rotation while boxing anyway so that doesn't really matter (as far as their priority rotation pve wise)
