    I have one thing to say about Fermi.

    //mainly from the fact that ATI/NVidia DX11 cards trade top spots in performance in various games, so they're about equal, yet Fermi cards cost MORE all around. (~100W GREATER THAN ATI'S 5800 series at load) produce MORE HEAT, and are LOUD at high temperatures.

    Let's not forget you have to have SLI for nvidia's rendition of Surround gaming. And while I did hear you would be able to do it with SLI'd older cards (260, etc), it's still a lot more money to buy two cards than it is to buy one 5850.
