krusch im sorry but walls of nonsense text are just no longer tolerable at this point. Shamans are the same as they were before, and "lolGlobaling" a stationary warrior target alone means absolutely nothing. Ya, my EM LVB PYRO hit for 78,000 against a training dummy last week... but alas it doesn't mean shit. Go for warriors over elemental shaman (the best target...) is also nonsense.

PS the facepalm was in reference to you.. not an encouragement to wall-o-text everything myself and others came up with for quad shammy tactics 9 months ago.

good - taking less damage but still oneshot enemys :>

4 dps has become more effective, I'm taking less damage, so I have more time to purge and fake nuke/ flash nuke paladins/hunter into bubble/detrance and I'm still able to oneshot full pvp enemys with instant lava burst
For example:me against 4 dps team - warrior shadow priest ele shaman boomkin holypaladin, they are rushing, I drop 4x magma totem paladin bubbles instant so group takes 20% less damage - clear the warrior, interrupt enemy caster with wind shear arena 1-4, hex arena target 1-4, I have a purge rotation for arena 1-5 against bloodlust !very important against 4 dps even you kill the first one instant 3 dps with bloodlust are still able to kill a shaman in 1 gcd so dispell bloodlust at first! - check silience on toons - no silience? dropp one ingrim redropp 3 magmas groundings, then blow thunderstorm - the warrior switches to berserker stance and intercepts, so at this point, if I know that the warrior and the priest have cooldown on fear I'm using the I win button to nuke the warrior, targeting anyone else, warrior dies in berserker stance, if he switchs instantly back to battle stance I could also kill him but usually I'm waiting until bubble is over, next focus target will be the shaman, my toons have a focus windshear makro on different spells, so shaman one is focus windshearing when using lava burst, shaman two is focus windshearing when using chain light and so on, if I dropp grounding arena windshear 1-4, when healing arena windshear 1-4, thats very important use windshear as often as possible
against melee teams I have also earthshock 2-5 ... so If there is a rogue or feral in the enemys team he will pop up as arena 5

If there is a team with warrior+xxx whatever I'm always focusing the warrior, don't waste the instant for the elemental shaman if there is a warrior in the team because the warrior is 10 times more casual as a shaman
Against melee teams with warrior dk enhancer, warrior focustarget - don't try to nuke the enhancer, first thing he will do is using shamanistic rage in combination with resilience about 45% dmg reduce

my toons have a focus windshear makro on different spells, so shaman one is focus windshearing when using lava burst, shaman two is focus windshearing when using chain light and so on

also, are you using Gladius for arena frames?

you should do wahtever you like, I don't care, I've just given an !example! to a four dps team I faced yesterday, that does not mean that I use that tactic in every game, usually I go for killing the warrior if there is no other ms dealer in the team. If you don't like my tips / examples ignore them, I have also no reason to share them and makros won't win the game, it's all about the playstyle, dealing with rezzes, splitting up shamans if you get aoe'd ect ... I haven't read all of you "how to play" posts so I'm sorry if I repead some things but I don't think it's against the rules :>
anyway probably my macros/tactics are just shit but it seems like that my playstyle fixes ~~

yeah if you burst a warrior while group sacrafice/roar of sacrafice blubble ect your completely right ...

The new arena targeting system allows for macros such as /cast [target=arena1] purge, or /cast [target=arena2] purge. I imagine you get how the 3rd, 4rth, and 5th targets would look now. Also personally I simply have wow macro actions setup in isboxer like /target arena1 and /target arena2 to target the enemy. I also use gladius but I have found the keybinds for gladius are buggy as hell when it comes to targeting.

If you use Isboxer you can also setup a multiple step keybind where your first step is char1 windshear arena1, next step is char2 windshear arena2, and so on.

Oh one last thing, the default blizz arena frames show enemy cast bars now as well ( as does gladius ).

I second this, once I learned about target=arena1,2,3 etc. my success in 2s/3s went way up.

i played about 24 games last week, started at a MMR around 0 and ended up with meeting like 5 teams with an MMR > 2200, when i had an MMR of 1600-1800 after a few wins. Think we went 13-11 or so finally. So good luck at getting 60-0.
