Gold from farming heroics?

Why are we always think the mats we get from farming are auto-sells. I post my enchanting mats onto AH. I get under cut constantly. Took me days to sell a few shards, if I am not there to camp the AH. (just post and leave, come back the next day). Same thing with the gems I transmuted. The glyph I made. If I don't watch them, they are not sold. So I don't buy the 1k gold per hour from heroics theory.

It's best to save your mats and sell in bulk, find bulk buyers or use the mats yourself on enchanting scrolls. Certain things do require time to sell but there are many many things that do not. It also depends on WHEN you post the materials. If you post them during prime time then of course you are going to be undercut. It's that amount WORTH per hour, it does not mean instant sales. Nothing in this game instasells and you can get undercut on anything no matter what the market is. This is something that could be brought up about any type of farming unless it is sales to NPC.

I never believe this ah crap :P gotta remember your pricing@ your own price or getting undercut. If you post more then 2-3 of something its prolly not going to sell before someone else can put one up under at least your last auction.

Once gear saturated you "should" be able to make about 1.5k an hour or more from heroics.

VERY dependant on your server - enchanting mats go quick on mine, but dream shards, good luck. I sold into an idiot trying to corner the market, but last I looked, they were headed for the vendor price, so I have a couple of stacks. Orbs, both kind, have been falling, but slowly - I think they're selling into the mass of TOC patterns like Merlin's Robe and Razorplate that are all over our AH right now. Lots of people are looking in trade for these patterns to get them made, so I think that's what's going on with the orb market.

BC enchanting mats, however, are a GOLDMINE. Every enchanter who's leveling needs them, and some pre-Wrath enchants still sell, and sell lots. Mongoose goes for 400 gold on my server (and that's less than the mats will sell for), and I just got Steelweave from Heroic Magister's Terrace (I'm sightseeing with my team), and it *sells*. You should be able to clear 5 BC heroics in no time, and get an average of 4-5 abyss crystals, 5 primal nethers, stacks of large prismatic shards, and stacks of dust and eternals - and the occasional pre-Wrath Darkmoon cards (that sell), BoE weapons and gear, the occasional world Epic drop, and if you farm Heroic Sekketh and Magisters, you can get the rare mounts. One hour a day is getting me 500g for everything, at least - more if I make enchanting scrolls from the dust and shards. Mongoose takes a LOT of abyss crystals and shards, but they're ridiculously easy to get. On full Kara run should get you stacks of everything, and it's an easy run with 5 80s - I had a little trouble with Snow White, but everything else was dead easy.

Anchuidon is a farm fest at 80. You can run all 4 in no time, then run labs again, in under an hour. Tempest keep the same, if you have the keys - and getting the key is maybe 3 full runs of mech and bot to get to honored? My Mage can Arcane Explode through most of it. The only dicey moment I had - and a funny one, was I accidently pulled about 20 mobs in Heroic Magister's at low mana on everyone, and my mage got smooshed. But I killed them all!

Throw a movie on, and farm BC dungeons for an hour, then do dailies for an hour- you'll have plenty of money.

If you have a JCer, miner, and alchemist, make epic gems every day. It's guaranteed income right now. Mine sell within 5 minutes of being posted, this last week. Pots and flasks are big money as well, in quantity.

You have to look at the market. There's a flood of wrath enchanting mats on the market, especially dream shards, from the new roll mechanic. enctanted scrolls are more rare. There's a flood of saronite and titanium on the market, along with orbs. Forget that market, you'll never catch up. Concentrate on pre-Wrath - if you mine, Thorium and Mithril, and to some extent BC ores, are selling for more than cobalt and saronite - thorium goes over 100g a stack easily - and the last time I went to get some in Sith and elsewhere, for the first time I saw no bots.

Feed the profession powerlevelers. It's easy money - one hour of work is all you need.

Speaking from actual, current, heroic multiboxing experience it's tough to make gold right now. Enchanting mats sell for almost nothing, aside from greater cosmics. You'll get enough from trash drops to pay your repair bills, and you'll get some badges as well. I think I net about 20g each toon per heroic, and maybe another 50g total in greens that I can sell or DE. So a net total of 100g - 150g for the group. If you run every heroic perfectly with no wipes, maybe you can make more. Since I usually don't sell the enchanting mats, I think I walk out of heroics with basically the 13g or whatever quest reward.

I have t9 geared DK and Shamans, and in heroics I'm lucky to pull 3K dps on trash, and 3.5 - 4K with heroism on a boss.

You may end up 3k-4k overall, but on bosses you should be like 4k-6k roughly depending on mechanics.
