I don't have Tusker's. I was actually really surprised how stupid easy this was for my setup.

1st attempt, tried setting up like usual. Wiped within seconds.

2nd attempt, server crash on engage *grr*. Trash was resetting so decided it was time to call it a day}.

3rd attempt, I stuck everyone on me with follow strobing, agro'd the bugger with my main and just kept running in a big circle, letting him run through my consecrates and fire novas while my DPS chewed on his ass. Riptide x 3 was more than enough to keep everyone up, and once I got things down enough to be able to pay attention to his countdowns, I was able to time things to get a few good bursts in.

Seems like people are doing alot of moving. Really you can spread out near the big bone structures south of him, and just move your DPS one at a time as he tosses goo at them.

Only time you really need to start moving is when hes pursuing, if you BOP the person getting persuit you can pretty much just ignore it and keep dpsing. He shouldnt get through more then one pursuit if your dps is doing good.

After pursuit I dps a bit more and then move back to grab the crew with /follow. He should be about to start casting his arcane mine stuff and then I just run around in a circle with the toons on follow. Great time to drop fire elementals and let them whoop up on his ass btw.

Took me a while to work out a strategy for this one, but mine is pretty much the same as defster's. Park my team 30 yards from him and run in with tank, pop BL and fire eles at the start and burn as much as possible. When he throws goo at the team just strafe out of it, only need to move 5 yards. When he does pursuit or bombs just run the tank to the team, hit follow and run round in a big circle until it ends, then stop follow, get >20 yards away from team, rinse, repeat. Poison Nova I do run my tank out but it's probably not necessary.

The bombs kill me occassionally but they are arcane dmg, so I might put arcane resist aura up on my tank next time. Not really needed as long as you're on the ball.

Here's my 2 cents,I'm stuck on this as well.I'm runnin a Dk tank,3 shaman Dps,holy pally.I made a improvement to last 4 min against this boss just runnin around getting the feel for this boss.Since this Dungeon is outside you can instant cast ghost wolf if spec to improved ghost wolf with the glyph regenerates 1% of your maximum health every five seconds in here which make the respond to follow the Tank faster with /follow and ghost wolf in the same macro.Thats a lot of speed, but my pally is slow footed. i guess its all the plate or his shield he wears /joke.But he always the first to die.Thinking of making 1 of the shaman resto for the riptide to help the pally heal. But to all the boxer using what ever tank and 4 shamans should have a smoother ride in this one.

Headcrash1, I kind of disagree. If you need to heal that much in this fight, you are doing it wrong.

All new bosses in normal are a joke. You don't even get to understand their abilities as they have no time.
I don't do much or any pve nowadays but I was just bored.

I did 4 tries on this boss, droped him to 5k hp on the third try but never got him down on the 4th. The main difficulty I found is that since abilities aren't predictable, no timer, no specific sequence all the alternate movement follow/not follow is a bit hard to manage. So if I do it again I guess I'll try the always follow thingy. I'm running 4 Relentless geared shaman and a pala pve tank with average gear. My question is: Even with nature res totem down, how do people (those using this strat) survive the nova?

I am debating whether I should put this back on my slaves for the ICC instances. I can see it possibly helping in many fights: Devourer, Ick, Tyrannus, The Gauntlet. However, I don't know how much of a speed boost it gives. I used to have it, but changed to Icewalker as it didn't really seem to help me much since I didn't raid.
I don't think it'll make much difference, I've run it like 6-7 times solo now, and it's not about run speed. Now, it *might* help with the "Oh noes! It's Arthas, who's out for a stroll!" part of HoR.

The Gauntlet is about not standing in the white circles, and tanking all the adds up to the center, to take on the wraith or whatever it is, then pulling the rest out into the open where you'll fight Tyrannus. You can take your time, it's not on a timer.

Tyrannus is a tank and spank. Speed is no issue here, you just need to move occasionally.

Ick is - like this thread details - a problem. I've wiped a couple of times here. If your character has a shield spell, use it, and you need to be group healing constantly. Yesterday we ran it with a Pally who refused to heal anyone but the tank during that fight, and casters lasted about 30 seconds, with the DoTs you get. We booted him, got a tree who kept us up and we nuked him down. I'm watching this one very closely when we run it.

The Forgemaster is somewhat easy - no dps during mirror, nuke him otherwise. I can't recall any deaths on him. "Oh noes! Stay out of his pew pew eye lasers when he s l o w l y turns his big fat head!" (Even the dumbest players can avoid THAT). The first boss is a little more work, but the most important part is to get up close to him when he's at 30-40 and he does the pink cyclone (forget what it's called), and use your fear breaking/blocking abilities if you have them.

I've been watching the fights very closely, for the future when I box them. The only fight that worries me is Ick and the 5-10 waves in the first room of HoR. (The Arthas chase is not that bad, if you have high dps and silence/suppress the witches, it's easy. FoS is a pain because of spell reflect - I know why now the 3rd pack of trash there wiped me so fast when I boxed it the first time, they spell reflected my butt into goo in an instant, because I was'nt aware of it - and since I'm a Pally and 4 casters...yeah. It was ugly.

Oh, and in HoR, in the first part, there's a curse that HAS to be cleansed, it's brutal.

Try running the content with a pug, to see how players are doing it. I was really concerned going in, but players have the stuff down pat now, it's interesting to watch, and very educational.

Any of you clearing it all while boxing, my hat's off to you - it's extremely challenging content - with overgeared players it's been somewhat easy, but if you don't know the fights, it goes bad fast.

My fave right now is Tyrannus, because my Mage got Seethe off him last night.
