    hrm I read the whole thread, not sure what to think. Elemental DPS in raids is lower than most classes comparatively (hunters, mages, lock, rogues, wars, DKs all spring to mind.) I wish they would either a. fix itemization now (look at all the mp5 gear) or b. buff shaman scalability.

    My lock/mage/rogue can easily outdo shaman with similar gear.

    I wonder how this will affect the burst nature of elemental shaman. Even with increased health pools, we may be able to get off instant kills with enough spell power (at over 3k spell power I have a ton of overkill damage, in fact in a lot of BG's my alts don't break 100k damage). Or if they're down to 5% hp they won't get a 100% instant heal. Lava burst and rockets don't kill many people in full relentless, but the chain lightning and especially frost shock will have overkill damage for sure. Anyone rolling with an absurd amount of health (50k+) is going to be wearing more pve gear, less resilience, and lava burst alone may kill them. We played a 3 prot 2 healer team and it was a huge joke. They all had over 50k hp and died from lava burst alone (12.5k crits), even the paladin couldn't live with argent defender due to travel delay in the lava burst caused what would have been overkill damage and killed them twice.

    I'm happy about the reduction in healing though - it is a bit ridiculous at this point. It's as if every healer has lay on hands - the punch heals and cooldowns on geared healers is bringing people from 1% to 100% either instantly or in a global, when a mortal strike is not on the target. As a shaman with about 3200 +healing I can instant heal 22k+, add in a global and it's nearly 30k healing. HW is critting for like 16-17k, riptide for 6k, LHW for 8k.

    Not to mention geared healers are unbelievably difficult to kill as a single dps, and surprisingly difficult even with 4x elemental shaman. My priest in full relentless can sometimes survive my entire nuke macro (Rockets+EM+FS+LVB+CL+FS), and then desperate prayer and penance himself to full before I can lightning bolt.

    This is GREAT news.... As said before, what prevents bursty toons from not killing enemies is healers, pre healing for well over their complete health pool in one GCD. Many a time I've gotten an entire arena team to 50% or less only to have them back to full in moments. I very often have a ton of overkill damage on many targets, so i'd much rather their health pools be larger, and healing reduced, as it will make my life much easier. Ive killed non geared toons in BGs simply by throwing 5 flameshocks... And other toons i've sent them the whole volley of FS, LVB, CL and even some lightning bolts, and they get healed through it.

    Oh what prevent us from killing our targets are certainly NOT JUST healers. It is the frigging LOS. As shamans, we got about 2-3 seconds window to kill in LOS. After that they run out, we are screwed. With increased health pool, I don't see this help us at all.
