I can kind of Sympathize with you, as I my oldest Son Chris, is gay. Not the same thing as what you are going through, But the ability to voice such things to friends in family is a huge step. It took him a long time to accept it himself, But he did have me and his mother being very supportive of him.

He is lucky to have parents like you!

I pretty much have disowned my entire family accept for my twin brother and little brother. I come from a VERY dysfunctional family and figured it was best if I parted ways with them in hopes of being a bit less dysfunctional. Guess that sounds kinda funny about right now.
