Give me a break, they make mistakes, and seriously, very few considering the scope.

• The programmers are responsible for some 5.5 million lines of code.
• QA group has tackled 180,000 bugs since the first game's launch
• 4600 people are required to keep the game running
• 20,000 computer systems
  
  • 13,250 server blades
  • 75,000 CPU cores
  • 112.5 terabytes of blade RAM
  • 1.3 petabytes of storage
  
  
• 360,000 text strings and some two million words
• They have created more than 1.5 million assets
• 900,000 web files

So maybe you should whine a little less?

Ask any IT person - any real IT person, and they'll tell you: It don't matter if you F up one server, or a thousand servers....F'ing up is F'ing up.

But seriously, 20k/1.3PB is really not that much.

But seriously, 20k/1.3PB is really not that much.

You said it man. I cannot tell you how many hundreds if not millions of dollars I have saved clients over the years with simple suggestions such as Ghost and UIU vs me building 1000s of machines using disks. Or having them use Vlingo so save time on BB text/emails and keeping them hands free to increase their production.

Yet they forget all of that if I mess up just one server even if it only affected 2 users out of 1000.
