Patch 4.2 coming soon
I especially like the new CC changes.....
I cant remember the last time I saw a patch that DIDNT nerf Paladins in one form or another.
To the ground!
Ya every patch since cata has gones after holy paladin regen / tuning them down. In one way or another.
I will admit the sprint being added to bubble is awesome for dodging mass dispells.
agreed
2x healing for critting instead of 150%.... oh yay harder to kill targets ftl
ya double healer teams will be more of a pain... Stack more gear !
Yay!Quote:
Characters can now be reorganized at the Character Selection screen.
They mentioned it won't save yet.
But I'd bet we will be able to both reorganize our toons and save the new order, soon...
Run 3Dk + War + Rogue ? Smoke Bomb on top of them in a throwdown and land that quick kill >< Or maybe run 2DK + War + Rogue (friend) + Healer
Even 3DKs + Healer and you friend on the rogue has a lot of potential. He can sprint at the start and land an early sap into a blind on a healer... while sDance your kill target with a smoke bomb.
Yeah, it looks like that was the first iteration. Lots of good and interesting stuff in 4.2, and that is near the top of the list for me.
Edit to add: Kinda wondering about this change:
I guess it's like a step up from defensive mode, where the pet would normally switch to another target when its present target died, if that target was attacking you or the pet. Could be very useful in both PVE and PVP (I can see where it would be very useful in large PVP battles, where your pet often winds up chasing enemies seemingly at random, so that you wind up putting it on passive).Quote:
The Aggressive pet stance has been removed and replaced with the Assist stance. This stance will cause the player's pet to attack the player's target. The pet will not change targets unless the master attacks a new target for a few seconds.
Quote:
- Annihilation now increases damage dealt by Obliterate by 15/30/45%, up from 12/24/36%.
- Howling Blast damage has been reduced by 8%, from [ 1441 + 48% AP ] + [ 721 + 24% of AP ] to [ 1322 + 48% of AP ] + [ 661 + 24% of AP ]
If my math isnt wrong its about 1,5% less damage for HB @ my 9400 attack power.
wow, what a nerf ;)
No its 8% no matter your attack power just like the patch notes mentioned, your looking at it from AP point of view instead of the base dmg which is what was nerfed. Dks are looking at a 9%+ nerf from NS. Both noticeable nerfs, NS nerf hurts unholy more imo though.
However, rets are looking up with
- Seals of Command now hits all enemy targets within melee range.
They finally changed that back those bastards
What was it, a 20% boost last patch.
And an 8% reduction, next patch.
That should still be an overall gain (10.4%), compared to the start of the season.
And it was strong enough to begin with.
My Annihilation is already showing 15/30/45%, not 12/24/36%.

- Drain Life now deals 25% less damage.
They didnt even wait for 4.2 , lol
fuck that, damnit.
Howling Blast is still 10.4% better than it was in 4.0.6.
(1.00 strength > 20% boost in 4.1 = 1.20 > 8% reduction to .92 of 1.20 = 1.104)
And it felt fairly strong then.
I don't like nerfs to Necrotic Strike (0.70 / 0.75 = 0.933; almost a 7% reduction) or Obliterate (1.50 / 1.60 = .9375; a tad over a 6% reduction).
But with the changes to how Blood Runes are permanently Death Runes...
6 and 7% reductions to two abilities, and 10% boost to another...
We're still substantially stronger now, than we were pre 4.1
My DPS still feels good.
My team in 5's is low 1400's, having only played the minimum number of games to cap points two weeks in a row.
I tend to automatically (so far) beat any team with a single healer, and win roughly half my games against double-healer teams.
So far, that equates to a win 2 out of every 3 matches record.
I didn't really notice the hotfix much...
Single healer teams vrs a 4 DK team are almost always instant wins it's too much fun.
If a mage drops ROF I try to get in the middle and i turn off CTM and grip people in, or I pressure the mage before they get the chance to drop ROF. ROF is redonkulous.
Basically hope to land a kill on something during AMS, when AMS is off huddle in the ROF till it expires lol. Other option is train the mage make him iceblock go on something else train the mage after the block.
Hungering Cold now has 1.5 sec cast time, up from instant.
=(

That wont last fenril... mages got their stupid shit reverted to zero cast time.
Or make it 1.5 cast usable while moving like slam
If it's going to be interruptible it could potentially lockout other freeze spells ... even with cast time HC is still a very strong CC. The current way is a bit too retarded imo (same for mages and instant rof).
It can be interrupted but it is castable while moving and effected by haste.
RE: Hungering Cold now has 1.5 sec cast time, up from instant.
checked this out on the ptr u can use this spell when moveing. the cast time goes off haste as well.
Anyone running 8 hunters? I wonder what they mean by "unique taming challenge"? They haven't post any changes to taming.Quote:
8 new rare tamable beasts have been added, each of which provides a unique taming challenge. Will you be the first hunter to tame Deth'tilac, the rarest and most powerful of them all? Players will need to progress through the Hyjal Regrowth and Molten Front daily questing areas in order to unlock access to the full gamut of taming challenges.
