Haven't been able to play too much lately, but last night instead of running heroics I decided to do Ony 10 man and Sarth 3 Drakes up. Was very quick and pretty fun. You get the black drake mount 100% drop with 3 drakes up and a chance at the Ony mount. Anyway, just something fun to do when you get tired of heroics.
Any other 10 mans worth running or doing for loot/unique rewards?
Just curious, did you five man it, or 10 man it? I'm assuming you 5 manned it given you listed your toons in your sig. If so, I might just have to try that myself.

What a fantastic idea! I've been so bored of the usual dungeons, and heroics are still kicking my ass lol.
I'm guessing almost any wrath 10 man would be quite easy with our hp pools now, so there has to be more.
Who has more of these?
Rep + Me were 2 x 5 boxing the 10mans while waiting for cata... I haven't gone back with just 5, but I'm assuming you could 5 man them considering the health pools.
Wonder if you can 5 box LK ? :)
I'm not sure about the LK, might be worth a shot though. But the more I think of it, given our HP it should be doable. I mean we was easily taking out 10 mans in BC with our wrath gear.

Ha, nice. I've been doing this as well since I have gotten bored of heroics already.
My PvE team is pally tank + 4 shamans. Pally tank has 153K health and shamans have 110K. Each shaman can do 10K+ DPS.
I took me several attempts and had to use a Volcanic Potion to boost DPS, but Sarth +3D went down. I still end up wiping due to the spawns and the other drakes owning my face, but I got the achievement and mount!
In trade yesterday, quite a few pug 10 Lich King raids were complaining that he's still quite hard.
But most of the 10-man stuff should be doable for 5-man 85's.
Sarth 3D is doable with 5. You might lose some guys, but the whole thing only takes 10 to 15 minutes. Pretty easy way to get some achievements and a nice mount.
Ony was np. She went down pretty quick. I am amazed at how fast we can take down the old 10 mans now lol. It's a lot of fun.
If you can bring 7,8,9 or 10 guys do it for the achievement. I can get 10 accounts loaded on this comp and it runs ok. I had 7 or 8 with me yesterday to burn down Sarth quicker.
Or, grab another boxer and go for it. It's a nice change from dancing around the heroics and trying to get the new bosses down.
Do you guys use any kind of strat for Sarth 3D or can you just brute force it now?
Friday after cata launch we went icc, as we were missing 1 achievement for the glory of the icecrown raider meta, in order to get our drakes. I went on my 80 elemental shaman (10 man hc geared) with 9 other players that were 85. Capable players that cleared 11/12 on hardmode before. We didn't kill LK (normal) that night after several tries. Due to the increased health pools and the increased mana costs, our healers (2) were running OOM cause of infest, something that never used to be a problem. Every 85 in 333+ gear got outdps'd by my shaman by a few k dps. Was quite funny to hear my guildies on vent who thought they could kill LK hc easy now with their new gear. Of course now that everyone has sorted out his gear, it shouldn't be a big issue, def not with a proper setup.Quote:

Funny you mention that Zenga, Our guild tried that ourselves, and infest was a pain in the butt. We finaly brought in another priest, which made for 2, and my resto shammy.
Had all the ranged close in on me, and I hit Healing rain at the start of the fight, which seems to work during that phase.
Then for some unknown reason, no one could target the Valks. we gave up soon after that.

When I do it, I just clear the trash the zerg Sarth. I make my resto shaman into a elemental shaman and just DPS.Quote:

Thanks for the great idea, that was fun. I ran OS3D with my melee team last night and the entire endeavor only took about 10 minutes, I cleared all the trash and just ran in and zerged him down (though, I wiped after he died :D). "Sartharion must die" also happened to be the raid weekly quest, which was an additional 30 gold and 168 Justice Points.

You could brute force it at 80. There is a certain dps you require to kill sarth before the 2nd drake comes down. First drake was either tanked by MT and pop cds or tauned by druid who then went cat form and sprinted away.Quote:

You can get a small amount (16-17 or so) JP points from every wotlk heroic boss. You have to fly to the entrance manually though to enter as you can't use the lfg tool any more I don't think. They also award about 6 honour points each too usually.Quote:

Our 10man team went in on Saturday night (with a pally and druid healer) and got the H LK kill. It took about 15 wipes though as we kept fucking up the transitions, but still a very cool fight. It felt a lot like the cata heroic bosses felt like when we first started doing them in greens.
You might need WG for the honour points. Not sure. ALl I know is that I did H CoS the other day, and noticed I was getting 16JP and 6 HP for killing a boss. I'd screenie it but I reckon you can just take my word for it.
Thanks for the info on Sarth 3D. I hadn't even thought about it being that easy. I haven't done it since Naxx was the highest level content :P
