Are there any guides that cover someones working team setup. Every tut I have seen and every guide I have read this last week in prepping to setup a 1xPally and 4x Shamman team all is muddled. Either their ttut doesnt go over the actual macros used r they are vague about it. Since multiboxing isnt illegal and ISBoxer is a great program why isnt more macro setup knowledge shared....

edit: didn't quite mean to sound so snarky - the reason that there are a lot of "vague" examples of how people have their setups setup is due to the fact that pretty much everyone here has a slightly different method of accomplishing the same end goals. Therefore there is a lot of theory discussion, with the assumption that one understands the underlying WoW API enough to make use of that theory.
after you read the macros page, you need to decide a path to follow at first till you get your own style. I have seen some macros used to automate cast cycles and other macros used to automate "iwin" etc buttons. with a mostly shammy team, you should be able to micro the shammies spell rotation just have the same spell cast broadcasted to all shammy toons. If there is one thing I hate about tank sequence macros is that some blow cd's that aren't necessarily needed to be blown. Minor details indead, but you don't want your taunt on cd cause it looked good in the cast sequence or click cast rotation...

I understand the frustration people have with new people like me complaining., but once I learn what I need I plan on fixing this problem.
The problem I refer to is that all the guides on the information page are varied and inconsistent. As an instructor in my job I understand it's not simple to teach others information that is already known. We all have varying levels of prior knowledge. My point is there should be, and I might put this together myself, when making a general guide you should make it to the lowest denominator. Also you have to actually realize that some people don't understand something until they have seen it. That is why anyone who teaches knows to use written, visual, and hearing to give the student the maximum capacity for learning.
That being said, I understand macros and understand ISBoxer, but I was kinda frustrated by the rabbit holes needed to be followed (ie links on the wiki that took you back to the forums) and videos that generalized to the point they were just explaining concept. I know I may get flamed for posting this but so be it.

Edit: also just so you're aware of a bit of community history - at one point there were a number of highly detailed guides available showing all keybinds/macros/software setup etc that certain community members had put hours and hours into. Due to a number of factors (now bygones) those have since been removed by their respective authors.
Look at it like this. We give you schematics of a bunch of different tinkertoy pieces, all of which have standard connector holes. We even show you a few types of houses you can build with varying generic parts. We also provide you with examples of some of the more complex parts, including a bunch that people use every day, including how to build those Windows, Doors and even a little bit of furniture for specific applications. But we don't tell you 100% how to build your house by specifying how many of this piece and how many of that piece. It's up to you to decide what kind of house you want to build based on your desired results.
Why aren't there complete, ground-up, hand-holding examples for every major combination? Primarily two-fold:
- It is time-consuming work, and nobody here gets paid to do that for you.
- Everyone's tastes in keyboard layouts, UI mods, and even rotations need to be tailored to their specific needs, most of the time including the need for different macros that are specific to certain types of fights. (e.g.: trash vs boss, farming vs instances, aoe vs non-aoe, 5-man vs raid, etc.)
IMO, your only valid complaints are:
- Since ISBoxer costs money, you could argue that complete @80 setup guides should be part of the "box deal." That's between you and the program's author, though.
- Some of our wiki links are still broken after the site moved to the new boards. We know this is true but until/unless someone points the broken links out to us to be fixed, complaining about "rabbit hole links" in general just makes you part of the problem, not the solution. ;)

The wizard will get you a working set up.
Anything which you put on the base bar keys... 1 through =, will auto assist between accounts.
You don't need focus or assist type macros, just drag the spells from the spell book.
For example, place Lightning Bolt on 1 for the shammy, Shadow Bolt on 1 for the warlock, Smite on 1 for the priest and Frostbolt on 1 for the mage.
Then on any toon, press 1, and they'll all cast the spell on 1, at the target of the active window.
If you want to customize things, look how something has been built.
And copy it.
My guide in my signature is essentially doing this.
It starts off assuming an extremely basic understanding.
And builds from there.
It is a long read, but a piece at a time is a decent approach.
And it kind of gives an idea of what you can do with IS Boxer.
I haven't done a writeup for my shaman but the "Mixed" link in my signature has most of my Paladin tanking macros. I use a "/click" macro approach and you probably need to understand the idea behind this approach before you will be able to make sense of it.Quote:

As a long time reader I can guarantee you that macros for all classes are discussed and analyzed and now and then someone posts a complete breakdown of most of their macros and how it all fits together. Its more a case of finding the right discussions.

I've basically done the druids from 60-70, they're 69th to 72nd at the moment, depending on who had the +exp heirlooms.
But have been doing dailies a lot, and a bit of farming herbs.
The new plan is 30x alchemists, for the transmutes.
To be able to ditch dailies completely, but still have a decent income source.

But the priest team is 60th, hunter team is 60th and DK's aren't made (so 55th)...

It won't be that long of a process 60-70, with slow flyers and two +10% experience items per toon, and 30% reduced experience requirements for pre-Northrend levels.
But still need to do the levels on those three teams.

I'll probably finish the druids, before going back to the warlocks.
At least the leveling stage.
But alchemy is the focus for the next couple of weeks.
I might have read it wrong, but I am doing the same thing (x1) and level 450 comes at 65 and level 68 before you get the mastery quest (big Bucks)
That's correct as you read it.
Level 65, for 450.
Level 68, for the Transmute Spec (which essentially gets us +15% additional gems, long term).
I'm going to level.. hunters, priests and death knights... probably to 70th.
From 60th, 60th and 55th.
Using two-piece BoA +exp heirlooms.
And slow flying mounts.
Which will be 15 additional transmutes a day.
Also Blizzard has (Classic in Burning Crusade and Burning Crusade in Wrath) lowered the experience per level by 30% for previous content.
So Northrend 70-80, during Cataclysm...
With 30% less experience needed per level, and two +10% heirloom items...
Shouldn't be that painful of a process, after leveling the 3-4 teams I care about to 85th.
I noticed this when I started a couple bank alts, starting areas have dumbed down a ton! No agressive toons until you leave in human, dwarf or orc. The imp cave used to be like Hogger, now it is like walked into the bank. Same with the defias in the human area. Grapes for all.Quote:
