One will have totem of wrath probably pull a point out of elemental oath
ok why bother with lava flows? you dont get spell til 75 and it increases range on Flameshock, which really isnt in our rotation at 70.
Hm.. If I understand correctly, flametounge totem will now provide spelldamge?
So the "general" fire totems would be Wrath, Flametounge and then either magma, searing or nova. Since nova needs to be recast every 5 secs (and triggers 1sec GCD) I am leaning towards 3x magma for trash mobs, and 3xsearing for boss fights.

So.. maybe I should skip ToW completely? need to test this on the trainings dummies.
Totem of Wrath spelldmg doesn't stack with Flametongue, so you won't use Flametongue.
And you need a maximum of 3 with Elemental Oath imo. Or have a boomkin, wooohaa! :D
so nothing in resto at all? do a lot of shammy teams not bother with resto? My team is pally and 4 shammies what would you recommend?Quote:

Just curious,
- will the talent 'Eye of the Storm' have any useful elements in PvE?
- should the talent 'Call of Flame' be ignored pre WotLK?
- is 'Elemental Precision' really worth spending 3/3 on? :P

Fire Mage
Destro Lock
with
Resto Shaman
Fury Warrior (go go monkey grip)
Combat Rogue
Beast Hunter
as an alternative melee party.
I know previously I had went 20 points into resto to get 5% extra crit to lighting and heals. Now you can just go 10 points into enhancement and get 5% crit to all spells. Thundering Strikes is where its at.Quote:

I would say that Eye of the Storm is actually bad for me and my 5 shaman group. When one toon is getting hit it takes longer to cast the spell thus someone else gets a cast in before the person that has agro. Hopefully this bounces agro around.Quote:

You know I hadn't even thought about the Call of the Flame it was just kind of a filler at that point. I guess there is no point to it pre75 (unless you want more range on your flame shock. I will probably move these points into elemental shields for better surviablity.
The big thing about elemental Precision is lowering the hit cap. Before when totem of wrath stacked it wasn't that big of a deal. But now I think we are going to have gem for a little bit of +hit. If you can't hit a target then you can't kill it.
Ok, so no Totem of Wrath at all, no flametongue totem. So, the new default fire totem is the Searing Totem.Quote:

What about the other totems. Does healing stream still stack?
if it still stacks then totem of wrath and flametongue weapon.
Why ToW?
The DPS increase isn't worth it. ST will give you roughly the same DPS w/o having to spend a talent point. ST will slow down casters. ST will auto target.

It all depends if Totem of wrath still stacks with the self buff flametongue totem. Totem of wrath is going to give everyone in your party ~140 spell power. I don't see how 1 extra searing totem can make up for (5*140 = 700 spell power).Quote:

Minor Glyphs Doesn't really matter that much probably go for the water breathing/water walking reagantless casting thingys

Forgive my newfound ignorance as I haven't played the WotLK PTR, but with the new talent trees, does Totem of Wrath no longer stack?
While we're talking the new talent spec, why are people putting pts into talents where the spell isn't avail until 75? Wouldn't you be better off putting 3pts into Eye of the Storm vs the lava flow one? I can't count the number of times having the spell push back reduced would've saved an ankh.

ok for trash you are right - pushback allows others to take aggro. However boss fights pushback sucks when its a dps race (Hi, Selin fireweaver I'm looking at you.) I guess it will require you to actually heal instead of going all out on the trash (which I do in MgT -dps til its dead and then heal.) Of course this is all theory until I try it out. Also another good point, its 70% reduction - meaning with a few mobs beating on you at least ONE will get a pushback on you allowing other shaman to get aggro.
Another thing with ToW and FT Totem - I looked at WoWhead.com and FT WEAPON is still the lame fire proc on beta(useless to us)... so I'm guessing FT Totem and ToW don't stack??
edit: NM I'm wrong I missed the +spellpower with proc on FT Weapon. So then I would say one shaman in group specs ToW for max ownage.
