Are two video cards non-sli going to help me five box?

Hello,

I just bought a 670 4GB card and wanted to run my four comrades on that card with my main running off of my 460 GTX 2GB card. My main would be on my main monitor and the other four would run on a second monitor off to the side.

Will this work? And if so how do I handle the drivers. Do I run with both sets of drivers? Or will the 670 drivers replace the 460 and could that be a problem? Both cards Nvidia/EVGA.

It'll work, but you'll be stuck with DX9 on your non-primary monitor. Ever since DX11 was introduced to World of Warcraft, I've never been able to launch a game successfully on a non-primary monitor while using DX11.

I'm curious, what type of video settings do you plan to be running that you think the GTX 670 won't be able to handle by itself?

The drivers should be exactly the same.

They arnt exactly the same with drivers, Reason why they have category's for each model, Why I am not doing this with my new rig, I have 2 570's but gotta sell them since installing 2 different drivers could cause issues

Using DX9, it can handle five clients, all on Ultra.

I'm using two 27" widescreen monitors (1080x1920 resolution, on both).
With the main on one monitor and the four slaves on the other.
I plan on ten boxing (on lower than Ultra) later this expansion, on the one card.

ummm...i can 10 box with one monitor with a single OLD 1GB video card.. what about the 4gb cad wont be enough for 5 wow accounts?

Wow, what am I doing wrong. I upgraded my system and I can't run 5 clients in ultra. I have to run the main in Ultra, and the others on fair; and even then I only get around 20-30 fps on my main. :(

My specs are:
P9X79 DELUXE mobo, with 32G RAM
Core i7 3930K
Nvidia EVGA 680 4G videocard

I upgraded recently so that I could run everything in ultra (or so I thought), but that hasn't been the case. I figure I must be doing something wrong. :P

DX11 and DX9 are miles apart when it comes to required resources on Ultra.

So would you recommend dx11 for a two monitor setup on a GTX 680 for 10 accounts or dx9? One computer
