Another thought. I had a similar problem with strobe following when I did not have my ISBoxer team slots match the actual characters in those slots. if you minimize all of your windows you should be able to see the charcter name in the Wow window title.
I don't think the problem is with Jamba.
Thanks m8,
yeah check that, all my toons are in the correct order.
I'm stumped TBH,like I said this all worked fine in previous version of Jamba,no issues...new version its a problem, and nothings changed with my ISBoxer settings.
Just wish I could find the fault.
Thanks for your help and suggestions.:)
Jamba 0.5 latest Update.
I know you changed the features to remember there last position with the latest version.
But My team display on my Leader is locked in place, "I may be blind old age will do that to you"
But I haven't found where I can unlock this if I wish to move it or the item Bar after its initially set.
Hold down ALT and drag it. Least that works for me and I dont recall changing any hotkeys.
Update 10
Jamba-Sell - there is a new option in Sell:Greys. You can hold down alt to sell an item on all your toons when you are at a merchant.
Jamba-Macro - you can now add a macro tag that has a prefix of ! - this macro will be made for toons that do not have that tag.
Jamba-Macro - variables now have tags.
Please let me know what you think of the new Jamba-Sell functionality. It's a request from king.pa.
Enjoy :)
Let's start using curseforge to manage requests and bugs. Feel free to post here and I'll place your issue in a ticket for you.
http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/jamba/tickets/
Ok, this is going to be "by design". What is happening is Jamba not completing the first quest it finds has more than one reward. But the other part of Jamba which iterates through the quests does not know this, so moves onto the next one. I'm afraid these cases are going to be edge cases, that you'll have to work through manually.
I'll add a slash command to toggle on and off the quest auto-selection. The ticket for this fix is here:
http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/jam...est-selection/
Jafula,
The /slash command will be fine, I was just having issues having to turn off the auto complete and then i had to relog etc.. with a slash command that will be great,
Thanks for your help.
Just downloaded the lastest Dev version. It was working fine most of the day than for some reason from time to time when I enter combat my Master toon will strobe follow one of my slaves. That slave is strobe following the master. When I tick Always strobe follow Master it no longer happens but I would prefer to keep that unticked. Any ideas?
Jafula, just wanted to say what an awesome addon this is. Has made me enjoy WoW all over again. I've only just recently started and am still learning but you've taken TONS of the difficulty out of the process! Awesome work!
i can't down it?
I use shared hosting that occasionally goes down for whatever reason, a little out of my control, its up now...
Download 0.5 update 10
Here is your ticket (lucky you):
http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/jam...command-to-do/
To help me track this down, can you post the commands you use when changing master and what you use for follow strobing?
Jafula I posted my comments on the CurseForge page.
Thanks
I just started using Jamba 0.5 but I am having one major problem. I cant move the Jama Team box out of the center of my screen! It just wont click and drag like the one previously did.
Any help?
I've added a comment on the ticket, but copying the comment here:
I think the problem is the master and slave getting out of sync when you run the
/jamba-follow strobeonme all
in close proximity to
/jamba-team iammaster all
/jamba-follow strobeoff all
A solution would be to have the commands individually on each toon and not just on the master (i.e. drop the all tag and run the command on each toon).
/jamba-follow strobeon mastertoon
/jamba-team master mastertoon
/jamba-follow strobeoff
You need to have more macros and {5 keybinds with key broadcasting / 5 methods} to switch masters this way, but the upsides are no delays while the commands are being sent and hopefully no more strobing on random slave problems.
I have been using Jamba-Macro with variables to make the macro writing simpler - write once, use with many teams.
I'm sure you will be able to use ISBoxer to substitue toons names into macros.
Do you want to give this method a go?
Update 11
New module: Jamba-Purchase - same functionality as 0.4 version, except missing slash command to add item (not going to implement this).
Jamba-Quest: New slash command - /jamba-quest autoselect <on|off|toggle> <tag>
Jamba-Quest:Slave and master wording changed to Toon and Team.
Jamba-Quest: Auto share quest now only works for the master.
Jamba-Quest: Auto accept escort quest now reports the name of the quest it accepted, not a random quest from the quest log.
So how close it the new version to being as fail proof as the old version. I don't want to beta test, I want to play WoW. I am happy to support Jafula and the Beta team but updating is "my bad"
i love this addon!!! but can you back the ""buy option""" pliz!!!!
Jaf,
I have to tell you the Delay Follow After Combat has me a little nervous. When this mod finally goes live it will have greater visibility and if there is anything that I feel might be controversial it is the strobe and follow delay after combat. Thoughts?
Fizzler, I was having problems with follow strobing turning on in combat when it shouldn't have a few pages back. I'd suggest totally purging all Jamba files {the stuff in WTF, not just from the Addons folder, or at least all the stuff related to Follow} and reinstalling the newest release. It was almost like some sort of conflict was not overwriting the bad settings with the new ones, but as soon as I deleted everything and reinstalled, the problem vanished for good.
Good advise, I did delete the WTF files twice unless I am missing some. I even turned off all /jamba commands that executed on PiP window change and it still does it. When I first start up the game and go into combat no issues. As soon as I change to another toon and strobe follow from them and than turn it off. When I switch back to the Master and enter combat the follow loop starts...
All I can think of is a bad file somewhere. I did a Windows Search for Jamba and deleted everything that popped up when I did mine, so there might have been other file locations. Are you running out of one or multiple folders?
I just noticed that when I delete a rare item by throwing it on the floor, and which requires me to write "DELETE" opens the quest log on the slaves.
Seems like a bug. I hope the info helps.
Jafula,
I'm still using Update 7 so will move to Update 11 shortly. Will the Curse Client find Jamba yet and do you plan to release Jamba on Curse? Alot of other addons I can set to use beta or alpha releases so perhaps you could put an alpha up?
Also perhaps I cant find it but is there a new list of the slash commands now that some of them have changed quite a bit? I want to build a macro that sets up my initial channels/channel passwords and team on all my characters ie.
/jamba-comms channel bob password bobisgreat
/jamba team add master bob
/jamba team add slave mary1
/jamba team add slave mary2
This way using Innerspace I could build a base macro that would let me generate a new team and setup jamba very quickly. Perhaps I'm missing some idea on using jamba profiles but the annoying part for me is still adding the team members to each character so that they can all talk.
Also I'm guessing therei s no way to push the itembar hotkeys out? Assuming this is protected?
Good idea, I should put the addon out there as a beta. I'll see what I can do.
There is a list of slash commands in the first post and here:
http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/jam...lash-commands/
There is no slash command to set the communications channel; I'm going to assume it that you would like one.
Here is your Jamba enhancement ticket:
http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/jam...-and-password/
The item bar keys are regular wow keybinds.
Follow was the only movement function that Blizzard have NOT protected in their WoW API. I don't know why, but *I* assume that they must consider it harmless enough that to leave it unprotected.
In my opinion (and you need to make up your own mind), it is therefore okay to use this function in addons, in whatever manner we see fit, exactly like we use the function that lets Jamba automatically accept quests.
Blizzard poster re: addons:
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...geNo=1&sid=1#8
"Nobody is being banned. One of the first things GMs do after a new patch is recommend that people disable addons, because they often cause problems if not properly updated. With the exception of cross-faction communication addons and malicious addons, if it works, it's okay to run.
Remember that if there is a separate program running while WoW is running, that watches or interacts with the game, then that is against the ToS, but addons without any executables are fine."
I believe that auto follow after combat and follow strobing are not malicious.
However, you have participated in this debate previously and I suggest anyone else that is interested read Vyndree's posts because she raises some interesting questions.
http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthrea...strobing+jamba
Anyway, if you are not going to be comfortable, don't install Jamba-Follow (you can disable it from the addons screen).
I have auto follow after combat disabled. I have disabled every automated /slash command related to follow in Jamba and ISBoxer.
If I select a slave and manually enable follow strobe than switch back to my master and engage in combat about 50% of the time the Master will follow strobe the previous slave. I have to manually turn off Follow Strobe when I enter combat.
Even if I have the Master is always strobe checked it does this. I must have done something to mess up the config but I can not figure out what it was. It worked fine for few days when I first installed the DEV load. I have deleted all the WTF Files and even set up a new ISBoxer team from scratch.
It must be a latency issue. Sometimes when I push settings it will be delayed on my slaves. Last night I pushed a setting and it took 15 seconds or more for it to show up on some slaves.
My work around right now is to disable Follow Strobe in combat.
Thanks for all your hard work on this project.
