Those buttons have not worked for me in a long time, but it sounded like they worked for everyone else, so I gave up arguing it.

The work fine for me, used them recently to abandon certain grey quests
first of all /bow for Jamba.
I downloaded the 0.6 version yesterday while leveling my dk + 4 rets and it keeps bugging out for me. Slaves won't complete the quest when the leader does, but when i alt+ tab to a slave and complete it on him, the slaves somehow do follow it and accept it aswell. Has happened close to 10 times now.
Also jamba would randomly spam follow broken every 5 seconds or so from 1 slave. eventhough follow was far from broken, since i was just flying in the air in a straight line.
What's odd, is that the first seems to be fixed when i complete the quest with the old leader. (started 4 rets and leveled those) And the followspam comes from the oldleader aswell(to my DKscreen)
I checked the Teamlist if they did have the correct char as leader and they did.
Just figured i'd inform you, it might be usefull.
You might want to check that ISBoxer isn't messing with you. The last two minor patches have included a feature on the main character set page to disable ISBoxer management of the Jamba addon team. Turning this on has been very helpful for me.
You do realise how that reads, right Muffin? :) :)
Hi there, love the addon, wish Id had something like this back in the day when I 6 boxed EQ. Im not sure if this has been asked in the past or not, or if its even possible, but could there be a way to have jamba notify of a break or have a timer on the mains screen for Polymorph, Hex etc? Since the word about CC being big in Cata, Ive been practicing it, and have come to realize that in a simple extra pull or what ever I can easily keep tabs on it, but when I have a large amount of mobs with lightning bolts, missiles and shields flying everywhere, I do tend to lose track of time and end up with a very whooped up mage hehe.
If anyone knows of an already existing addon that does this, please let me know, would love to have it :)
Thanks in advance for any info provided :)
Well I can only get 16 or so on the team list at one time now, I used to be able to get them all in (36). It goes up to 16 then when new people on the team list get logged in it collapses back to the lead character and then adds the new log ins and the old ones are lost.
What has changed in the last updates to cause this? What did you use before the communication channel?
Is there some setting I should be looking at more carefully?
Is there more information I can give you?
I'm not sure Jafula needed to change anything, because Blizzard changed the throughput of the addon channel (I could be wrong).

Nothing has changed. If you have been using any of the 0.5+ series successfully then nothing has changed. Before 0.5 (the communications channel) I didn't use a communication channel.
Jamba uses two different communication methods. The communication channel you configure with a username and password is only used to see what team members are online / offline. Everytime a toon comes online Jamba joins it to the chat channel. When a toon goes offline a toon leaves the channel. This way other toons can query the channel list to see who is online.
Before this system I just assumed all the toons in your team list were online. Back then, some folks didn't update their team list everytime it changed and they would complain of "player not found" messages. The communication channel I added fixes this issue.
Given this is a regular chat channel, I cannot imagine that Blizzard has limited it to 16 players.
The addon channel is where Jamba sends follow status updates, quest commands, taxi commands, etc.
Righto, just because I haven't changed anything does not mean that Blizzard haven't changed the way things work.
Question Time:
Sam, have you changed the channel to be your own? Do all your toons have the same channel setup? What do you mean 16 only on the team list? Surely you can add all 36 onto the team list? What do you mean by collapse?
I think custom chat channels may actually have such a limit to the number of people in them.
Hey alcattle,
What are the 4 choices? IIRC, the Jamba-Quest (log) bar has more than 4 buttons. There are no options for this bar apart from the on/off. In some cases, I think the slave toons need to have the quest log open as well.
Have you disabled all other addons (on all toons) and then tried the Jamba Quest log functions again?
Cheers,
Jafula.
Ok, been a bit hectic here in my real life land. I hope to have some time this weekend to work on Jamba, but no promises...
+1 for jafula :)
Ok here is the situation
First pic shows 16 online, everything ok.
Then I log in 5 more to 20 in the next pic and then 31 in the last.

Looks like they do some sort of chat throttling at 25 (in 2007). Bizarre as the characters never actually chat in the channel. Maybe they dropped this limit to 16 at some stage.
Sam, I can add a UI toggle so that Jamba goes back to old way of doing things. I.e. Assume everyone in your team list is online (I see you use ISBoxer, so if you let ISBoxer manage your Jamba team, this should not be a problem for you). Would you like me to do this?
Ya toggle would be great, I'd like my team display back lol ....
If its less work my guys are always in my guild. I doubt guild chat is throttled.
I dont have follow or ftl issues just the team display to click on guys that are dead or need healing etc.
Jafula,
I have (another) feature request :)
I love the quest tracker feature but really want to be able to ignore items that are complete across the team. Could you automatically move completed items to the bottom of the list or, better yet, add an option to discontinue tracking a quest once all team members have completed it?
I am currently using your Display Team feature as clickable regions so my slave priest easily can heal anyone of my toons with clicks at my master screen. (I use hotkeynet to check for clicks where the health bars are located on screen). Works great since I also can see if my healer runs out of mana at the same location.
However I am missing the possibility to also see my pets health here. I use the horizontal layout with name, health, mana visible. Would wish to see a fourth bar to the right showing health of available pets as well.
Any plans of please adding pets and is it possible?
Edit:
Would it even be possible to add healing functionality to this Jamba module?
A function where you select one of the jamba team toons to be main healer and typing a spell in a text box, e.g. Renew. Then when left clicking on a health bar (in any toon window) that specified healer will cast this spell on the clicked toon.
Im having the same error. Team Channel: match? this: teamme team: teamme or teamme
I saw you post that said make sure the team is online. Both my slaves show offline, even though they are online. Im using special chars in their names so maybe...
EDIT: ok, i got it to work. Im not sure if this is the whole solution or if you could get away with less, I just know this is what resolved it for me. You have to manually add each team member to the shared channel. I also added each team member as a friend on the master. After doing that and logout/login they then showed online. YEAH!
Hey, glad you got it sorted. In order to help others with this in the future, can you tell me what you mean by "You have to manually add each team member to the shared channel."?
Did you have to type /join channel on each toon? Or did you setup the channel on each toon in Jamba? Or do something else?
Thanks, Jafula.
I think there is a ticket up for pets unit bars already. I'd rather not do healing functionality, there are plenty of great mods out there that do that, like healbot, clique and the amount of work required makes me want to run the other way...
If someone gave me a million dollars, so I didn't have to work at a day job, I'd do it in a heart beat, but given my limited time (in which I also have to use to play WoW as well as work on Jamba) I can't see it happening anytime soon!
I should be able to add this in the next release. I'll add an option to not display items that are complete across the team, I'll leave it so that you will have to manually untrack the quest (it should go away when you hand it in). Tasks that are complete on some but not all the team members will continue to display until all team members complete it.
I'm using healbot, but the problem is it's not made for multiboxing. It's great when a healer is master but otherwise no good in my opinion. I get problem with chars not listed in the same order on my different toons, messing up if I want to set up clickable regions with hotkeynet. Or am I using it wrong...
A jamba heal function would have the great advantage of looking identical on all toons in the group. :)
But I understand and respect your answer.
I also use healbot and have solved all the problems you have by using using ISBoxer and it's ClickBars. I run healbot on all toons, have it at the same location on the screen, set it up to order my party in the same way on each toon. It's really neat. Here is the relevant thread; please note the repeater regions discussed at the start of the thread are not used, its one of my posts further down that details using clickbars.

In theory you should be able to do the same using HotKeyNet. If you need help setting healbot up, please post back here and I'll try and help you out.
Not to be overly negative, but I downloaded 0.6 and upgraded from 0.4g today. I just finally got frustrated to the point that I managed to find a copy of 0.4g to go back to and did so happily. A short list of what I was struggling with, offered as a list of starting points for debugging.
1: All my settings were lost going from 0.4 to 0.6. Worse, when I went back to 0.4 everything was lost again (the original 0.4 settings apparently were destroyed by 0.6)
2: It was a lot of work to get my team added and showing up on everyone's list. I built the team on the master and added just the master to everyone else. This was the same as 0.4g. When I "pushed" to the team, however, nothing happened. This was because everyone (including the master!) was showing up as offline in the master's list. (Dont understand how the master can ever show himself as offline.) I did some reading, renamed the channel, made sure that everyone was appearing in the channel list, added to slaves to the master's 'friend' list, and it sort of started working.
3: The team list that is supposed to show everyones XP (and now health too!). I had values and percentage both turned on. Everyone had 100/100 (100%) XP and health. Except the master. For whatever reason, the master never showed up in the team list.
4: As I came in for a landing from a flight path, all but one of the slaves got D/C'ed. When I logged everyone back in, the master never saw the connected toon as logging back in (because it never logged out). This caused that toon to show Offline in the team list. Guess who never received and invites, and never showed on the team list?
--Items 2 and 4 lead me to think that the code is trying to be too 'clever', and only send data / commands to toons that it determines are online. The problem is that it is frequently wrong in that assessment, and there is no easy way to tell it that those toons are actually there. Code that ignores me because it thinks it is smarter than me is frustrating...
5: The quest watcher puts a large, invisible frame across the center of the screen. This interfered with the mouse when I try to click-drag to adjust my camera view. I had to click off to the side of the screen. in order for it to register.
I still think Jamba is practically required to multi-box properly, and can't imagine trying to play without it. That is why it was so frustrating when so many things didn't work properly. Luckily, I had a working version that I was able to revert to so I can continue to play.
heya Jafula,
just wondering if we can make the team display bar of current toon green instead of red :-)
so that when all toons are following the main, all bars look green (instead of the main red and the other green)
i don't mean this to be a new feature, but if you could pinpoint the code where i can change this it would be great :-)
Thanks
-Zub
Pretty sure settings were carried over when I upgraded my Jamba, but I had been getting every version in between and not done such a large version jump.
To quickly add a team, invite everyone to a group, and broadcast the command /jamba-team addparty
Make sure everyone has the correct channel and password set, then relog after broadcasting.
Give Jamba time to load the xp bars etc upon logging in, if you start doing stuff too fast, they sometimes get stuck at 100%.
Make sure to do "/jamba-team iammaster all" on the master after loading and inviting.
if it bugs after a dc, try relogging those characters, though fixing the stuff above should take care of it.
Alt-click and drag to get the quest watcher out of the way, or just disable it in the settings (as I have until they make it possible to click stuff behind it).
