I wish Jamba had an auto-team-configure button which automatically added everyone currently on the team into the group and set the group leader to the character which pressed the auto-configure button.

I wish Jamba had an auto-team-configure button which automatically added everyone currently on the team into the group and set the group leader to the character which pressed the auto-configure button.
- honestly I think this is quite a good idea! And if Jafula doesn't want (or have no time to) implement this, I might code a Jamba-0.5-Module for it!Quote:

""Removed PVP tab - can no longer auto accept battleground portals""
Is joining the game automatically via an addon illegal? I was o looking forward to being able to do that 8(
I thinkCatamer (or at least me) ment this.Quote:
Or do you mean take every one from a party and add them to the Jamba Team and set the party leader as the master?
Jamba 0.5 Update 2 is available for testing.
http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=23377
Update 3 is now available - see first post for download link.
New module: Follow contains all the functionality from 0.4 follow + the new options:
Ability to set a different character (from the team) as the follow master.
Can delay auto follow after combat by x number of seconds.
Can have different strobing delays depending on whether or not the toon is in combat.
Can force follow strobing to always strobe on the master and switch to strobing on the new master when the master changes.
Follow broken warning uses the new Jamba-Message area scheme.
Display Team should now honour the show checkbox.
Slash commands should all work now.

I have a feeling that im not utlizing most of the features of Jamba, but only because I don't know how to. I can't find instructions that tell you how to use it. What does "FTL" stand for and do? How about <tag>? Is there a way to autoinvite your group when loading the game? How about automatically enable strobing when loading the game?
I have to write my own addon bits and pieces to accomplish some of these things for me which makes me wonder if maybe I am just not seeing that it's already built into Jamba. I have searched the forums and google but am not finding much info.
FTL: http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=10968
Jamba toons have tags. By default all toons have the 'all' tag. You can add your own tags to toons. Any slash command that takes a <tag> as a parameter will send that command to all toons that have the tag. Toons without the tag will not get the command.
You can invite your team by using the slash command
version 0.4:
/jamba-group invite
version 0.5
/jamba-team invite
There is no option to automatically invite the team when the game loads, nor is there an option to automatically turn on follow strobing when the game loads either.
Thanks for your response. I did finally find a page that explains a few things. The problem is that Jamba is such a great addon, that information for it is kind of spread around all over the place, and much of it is out of date. I did finally find your page with up to date information.
I was actually the one to write the original "Multiboxer" addon, and I still tweak it to accomplish a few things like auto-inviting and what not. Keep up the good work on Jamba, I was torn between working on my addon and playing the game. Obviously playing the game won out :)
I know Ver .4 is almost gone, but I have noticed the Jamba-Quest box will not abandon a quest. I am doing something wrong or maybe the add-ons.
Abandon quest (0.4) works for me. Some things to check:
- Jamba is enabled on all your toons.
- All your toons are in the team list and enabled.
- The option 'Mirror Master Abandon Quest' in Jamba-Quest is checked.
- All your toons have exactly the same settings.
Let me know how you get on.
I was using Jamba version (F) and the Abandon quest function was not working. I downloaded the (G) version and it is working now.
You may try the G version if you dont have it installed.
"Edited"
Like in the other thread I'm going to "re-nig" on these questions and statements.
Thanks again for this awesome add on, keep up the stupendous work bud.
For those that are interested I've released 'Jamba-Macro' for some testing.
http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=24694
trying to use Jamba with IS/ISboxer. now the ISBoxer i can get to use in the basic form. and can do quite a bit with it with the basics. but i followed the " up and running with WOW in 30 seconds video. i ran the quick wizard and did the exact same thing Lax did and nothing more. but my outcome was alot different than his.
My groups didnt join up and follow automatically, and therefore couldnt assist. I could turn mouse and keymaps on and off, make all the other toons jump, etc. but the invite wouldnt work, and of course the accept didnt either.
so, im not sure what the hell i am doing wrong, but ive been playing with this for 3 days.
Jamba needs to be aquired to make the auto follow/assist/join things to work i take it. my question is what do i do with Jamba? i unzipped the folder called jamba into the proper WOW folder, but what confused me was the directions told me to do that for each character, master and slave. thats where i am totally lost and need it explained to me like I am 2.
I am thinking that because i dont have jamba in right, that my follow/join/assist/etc wont work right. any help would be appreciated. and as for my ramblings up til this point, if i dont make sense, please ask questions. i dont explain things very good sometimes.
Thanks in advance.
Hey and welcome to the forums!
From your post, I'm not sure that you have your team set up correctly:
http://wow.jafula.com/addons/1-jamba...ure-your-group
This lets your team members trust each other (and thus be able to communicate).
To invite your group; type
/jamba-group invite
on your master toon.
Once this is set up correctly, you should be able to get them to follow the master by typing this command on the master character.
/jamba-follow master all
With quests, you need to open the quest dialog from the NPC on each character before you start doing actions on your master. Your slave toons should mirror the master actions.
Hope that helps a bit, please post if you are still having trouble.
when i follow Lax's video on how easy it is to use the quick wizard and immediately have a fuctional group in 30 seconds. i have followed that video, and wizard identically. and there is automatically a keyset to invite the group. i checked the macro and all the names are correct and all. but when i hit that key, it does nothing.
After playing around with this for a few days, i can only assume that i didnt install Jamba correctly. I followed your directions to unzip it in the WoW, interface/addons folder. so now in that folder i have a Jamba folder and a ISBoxer folder. is that correct? and if so, why doesnt the predetermined key work like it does in the video?
I know i could get this thing running with my group without using all of these newer features. i used to play EQ and ran a 5 man team there for awhile. But all of these newer features seem real nice and would make alot of things easier once i get the problem figured out.
oh, and btw...nice idea on your addon and what it does. i saw the video and was floored on how i could just switch toons and the rest would just follow whichever group member i chose without any hastle.
If Lax would explain in a little more detail what he does and what needs to be pressed and what to do to get a certain result he is trying to show.
thanks
You can tell if Jamba is installed correctly by typing
/jamba
If a configuration screen appears, then Jamba is installed correctly. I have no idea about ISBoxer sorry - and this will be where your predetermined key is not working. You might like to ask on the IS forums or here on the new multiboxers forum.
ok. thanks. i tried typing /Jamba all on its own in a signle instance of WOW and got nothing, so im messing up somewhere.
i tried on the IS forum and chat and got nothing so far. ill try the other section. but thanks alot for answering and trying to help. its very much appreciated.
later
perhaps i missing any obvious setting, but i upgraded my jamba to jamb-dev last night and now i cant see the setting for auto sell grey items? is this removed..
One other thing, on installing jamba i have multiple jamba folders in my addon folder
i.e. Jamaba-core
jamaba-group
should these all just be in a folder called Jamba within the adons folder?
the /jamba command does not work for me i have to get to the setting via the interface button in wow itself when i presee escape, also auto follow does not work for me.
Jamba-dev is not a complete version of Jamba. It is a new {beta} incarnation that Jafula is working on to make Jamba modular and does not include certain things {yet} like autosell and whisper forwarding.
About Jamba-Dev
So you still need keyclone? but it easy up the inviting of the group and that stuff? :o
Yes and yes.
Sorry this thread is huge and the forum search didn't produce what I was looking for.
Any plans for a /jamba assist-master? I see that there is something in the .5 about FTL setup macros, I guess I will look into that tonight.
Great addon!
Go get JambaDev-0.5. Its much better than 0.4 and is only missing Jamba-Purchase and Jamba-Target.
http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=23377
Two ways:
1) If you do not use FTL.
http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=24694
Fire up jamba-macro and add a new macro
/assist #master#
2) If you do use FTL.
Use the FTL helper module written by olipcs.
Sorry about the short reply, if you want help with either of these, please post back.
Hi Jafula, have you planned to add the feature I asked you about a while ago ? selling the same item (with or without a modifier key) over all toons at the same time (ie : a green quest item reward which is only valuable by it's selling value, and that we must sell one toon at a time).
this could be a super huge feature, and you promised me to add it to the 0.5 release.
I hope you will :)
Yeh, its done, thanks for the reminder.
You can get it in Jamba 0.5 update 10 - you need to turn the option on in the Sell: Greys screen. Hold down alt to sell the item on all your toons.
JambaDev (0.5) Download
GPF on flight (flight master that is ).
I get most of my wow alternates to die when my main tries to fly unless I have everyone set to solo mode.
sometimes it works fine, everyone flies to the same place. if I try to fly my main without the alts , such as fly the alts first or forget to open the flight master on one of the alts... this is usually a bad thing.
Anyone else have this problem?
OMG Jafula.. this is HUGE.. thank you very much..
You are a dream maker :)
This has been reported for a while, but I can never reproduce it, whereas others have been able to. I have made changes to Jamba-Taxi in 0.5 to make sure that the player is not already on a taxi and that the taxi frame is open before attempting to take a flight. No one has reported crashes in the 0.5 version that I can remember.
Anyway, I have backported the fix for the taxis to Jamba 0.4h, which you can download from http://wow.jafula.com/
