Reading the blue post says that conquest points might be converted to honor.

As far as I recall the intention with the start of the current season was that:
a) you could take a max of 4k honor with you into the next season (from doing bg's, etc)
b) any conquest point you had left, was converted into extra honor, even if that would put you over the cap
Say you had 3900 honor at the start of the new season, and 4300 conquest points, it would mean that you should receive 7200 honor. And as long as you are above the 4k, you would not gain any extra honor from doing bg's.
They fucked up royally though and converted the conquest points into gold, rectifying this later by giving everyone 4k free honor.
The way I read it for the coming season is that thet step away from this and will converted conquest points that put you above the honor cap into gold, and not into extra honor.
Well, the blue post says that there is a possibility that conquest will convert to honor, and possibly exced the 4 k max cap. And we must not forget about JP :) this wont be converted to gold, and you'll be able to get 3 k honor by converting it :)
nvm
so cap out on justice points (i have none), cap out on valor points (have like 5k atm, none for this week) cap out on honor and leave my conquest points (6k atm) ... and if I'm lucky that valor -> jp and conquest -> honor point i could be looking at 17k honor, i like the idea :D
god-damn, now i need to run dungeons on my main -_-
Blue updated post, note new date:
Arena and Rated Battleground Season 10 is scheduled to end November 29. At that point we will determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards, a process that should take approximately one week. It's very important for players who feel that they may be eligible for Arena titles and/or the Ruthless Gladiator’s Twilight Drake to refrain from transferring their characters to another realm or faction until after Season 10 ends. During the break between seasons, all Rated Battleground and Arena matches will be unavailable.
At the end of the season, Conquest Points will be converted to Honor Points, possibly exceeding the 4,000 point Honor cap. All Season 10 items will cost Honor Points (equivalent to their previous Conquest Point cost) when the season ends, with the exception of any items with rating requirements attached. These items will no longer be available for purchase.
Please be aware that higher ilvl PvP items will be introduced and available for Honor points with patch 4.3.
The next Arena and Rated Battleground season will begin for level-85 players approximately one week after the end of Season 10 and will coincide with the awarding of Season 10 titles and mounts. At that time, any Honor accrued above the 4,000-point cap will be converted into gold at a rate of 35 silver per point. In addition, Season 11 rewards will be made available for purchase with Conquest Points awarded during the new season. Matchmaking Ratings will carry over when Season 11 begins, but all Team and Personal Ratings will be wiped.

Changes for Alchemy specializations are coming in the patch. If you're working on bringing up alchemists or like me, swapped specializations on some guys, you'll want to get them done before the patch -

Patch 4.3: Alchemy Specialization Cost Increase
In Patch 4.3, Alchemy Specialization quests have been moved to the Alchemy trainers and the old quests have been removed. The three new quests and rough costs from Auction House prices for materials are:
Potion Master
- Mythical Healing Potion x 6
- Mythical Mana Potion x 6
- Potion of Treasure Finding x 2
- Total AH Materials Cost: 450g
Transmutation Master
- Truegold x 4
- Total AH Materials Cost: 2200g
Elixir Master
- Flask of the Draconic Mind x 2
- Flask of the Winds x 2
- Flask of Steelskin x 2
- Flask of Titanic Strength x 2
- Total AH Materials Cost: 900g
wouldn't AH prices be based on player base?
I can see them controlling vendor prices but AH is player set pricing, which they dont control.
I am hung over so i may be missing something, but i just dont get how they can say AH prices are going to go up when we control it.
The post wasn't about the AH prices going up, the post was about the change in Alchemy specialization. Right now, becoming a Potions, Elixirs of Transmute Master requires Burning Crusade stuff and is pretty cheap, especially if you do the Potions quest and pay the 150g to swap to Transmute, since Healing and Mana pots drop like candy, so all you need to make is Dreamless Sleep potion.
After the patch, it's going to use Cata stuff, which is going to make it cost more to chose a specialization. There's also rumors going around that you won't have the option to just swap for gold like you can now. People are saying that you unlearn the spec then provide the appropriate items to change. But, I'm not on PTR to check and it's always possible that they simply haven't added swapping in yet.
Sucks that they changed the launch day for the new patch. I cant fking wait!! Has anyone seen the PvP gear stats and bonuses? I cant find em anywhere :/ Do we get to keep the lightning shield bonus from the Ruthless gear?
4.3 Battleground Conquest Rewards

Our intent is to start acting even more on our Mists of Pandaria philosophies of encouraging players to approach the content they want to, how they want to, and be able to work toward meaningful player progression. Arenas and rated battlegrounds will still earn Conquest faster, but with this change you can now work your way up by running normal BGs, if you so choose.
This basically kills off 2v2 arena. A real nice change though.
They never fixed it for the people who got screwed by the conversion. What they did was give people honor who purchased pvp items off the vendor which changed item level. I took a good ass reaming on that conversion deal. The only good that came out of it is I no longer pvp for the latest greatest carrot on a stick.
Doesnt change that it was possible.
Everyone knew about it and everyone that had any brains used it. Should have just let it be.
I still think most people are missing the fact that valor points and conquest points will be turned into justice points and honor, even above the 4k cap. I'll have 4k honor, 4k justice points, 6k valor points and 8k conquest points. So after the patch hits I'll have 12k honor, and 10k justice points. You obviously have to use up honor first before you can convert justice points into honor, but in total it's gonna be around 18.5k honor I get while a full suit costs something like 23;5k if I recall correct (minuts the weapons). So that is something like 5k to grind on patch day.
Yeah if you really want a jump you can bank everything like I did last season. Just pray they don't fubar the conversion and turn it into gold like they did last time. I lost many thousands of honor when they messed up the conversion. After the error last season I would say bank at your own risk. Goodluck!
I think your confusing what happened. The people who purchased pvp gear before they changed the ilevel received honor compensation. The thing I am talking about is when they made an error with the conversions. Instead of letting the conquest points give honor above the 4k cap like they stated, the system mistakenly converted anything above 4k to 35 silver. So anyone who would have had 10K+ honor (like me) lost it all and received 35 silver instead. Banking points is a great way to get a jump on gear but with last seasons screw up it's very risky.
I'm pretty sure I read, that after the season ends, they are converting all CP to honour, and it stays above the cap. You then get a week to spend it for when the new season hits, they are converting everything above the cap into gold/silver.
I will try to find it.

IN SHORT:
1. Season ends
2. CP turns into HP, can go above the 4k limit, but can't earn any more until you spend it.
3. The season 10 CP gear will be buyable with HP
4. ONE WEEK PASSES
5. New arena season
6. Anything above 4k HP gets turned into gold
7. Gear, better than season 10 CP gear (from point 3) will be buyable with HP.
8. Season 11 gear better than the new HP gear will be buyable with CP.
Last season, a LOT of people got pissed because they bought all the old CP gear with honour, BEFORE the NEW honour gear got released, making them farm 23k honour AGAIN.
As MiRai said I am talking about last season. They actually made two mistakes. First they turned the extra to 35silver before letting the one week pass. Next they changed the gear on the honor vendor to 371. They compensated people who purchased any gear but said sorry for the conversion. That's why I was saying bank your points at your own risk. I did it last season and had my extra points turned to silver with their mistake.
I see. Lets hope they don't screw up again then. Though I probably won't be bothering with "banking points." Doesn't take too long to grind out honour and I will probably be working when the patch is close to coming out. At least everyone will know about the ilvl change this time too, I know that upset a lot
[edit] Blah...change wasn't 4.3. Sorry. Disregard.
So does LFR have a minimum ilvl to use it? I was hearing 372, but no one could say where they heard it. Also can PvP gear be used to circumvent that? I hope they wont let you join if even once piece has resilience...
i found it here but since LFR is only for the new instances 372 sounds about right
