This way you wont have to press for procs, it works with other classes aswell, ive set up at pala/mage/lock/shaman/priest team using mosg2's system
and its really flawless one other incredible positive thing is atonement from the disc priest, now penance also heal thougth damage dealt, and it heals alot...

If you guys have any issues with macros and such, just try and use his system. Im sure youll be impressed, I pulled 75k DPS on my 1button arcane mage in LFR yesterday

I am sorry but I am not familiar with this system. Do you mind giving me more details? Do I set up the 3 macros with 3 different keys?

here is what im currently using with 5x 85 arc mages.

button 2 is only key used
macro in wow
/castsequence reset=12 nether tempest, null
isboxer sends the following macros seperately but at the same time
/cast sequece reset=combat [nochanneling] arcane blast, arcane blast, arcane blast, arcane blast, arcane barrage
/cast [nochanneling] arcane missles

what happens ingame is this, (this is ONLY for single target dps btw) my aoe/pvp is done manually
all five throw up nether tempest macro hangs, and doesn't step for 12seconds, then reapplys nether tempest
i almost always get 2 sets of missles off in 4 arcane blast casts, so i get all 6 stacks of the arcane buff on the target, then
it does barrage for mega damage and resets the stacks and starts over
the [nochanneling] ensures that neither macro breaks the missles cast, and also to make sure that missles doesn't double cast.
It has worked out for me pretty good so far.

Could you do this with fire where you have to get "heating up" and then cast inferno blast to get instant pyro? Just curious as I set up my arcane mage and it works really well... I'd just like to play with it a bit. I am assuming that you didn't take presence of mind but one of the other talents that allows casting and moving?

This is where I've got to so far with it and works quite well. The dps loss I can see is when missiles proc just after the arcane barrage dump.

Does mana gem do anything but give mana these days?
