Well... I Love Satin, is the account name, and not the character name.
Satinworship is not a name I would choose.
But it doesn't violate the naming convention, even if it is very close to something which would.
There are thousands of names which are wrong.
But which last and probably should not.
It's probably not worth your time, but you could report the others too.
If they want to enforce the naming policy on your toons, then they cannot complain when you report infractions to them.

This one always makes me laugh.
I had the name on my druid ghonosyph ever since release, joined a pug heroic with him and my 3 dks moocrewa c and d and got reported and had to change the name of my druid lol I couldn't believe it after so many years. Oh well I don't have to answer the question "where's moocrewB. Anymore lol
It's makeup, low res ftl
ilovesatin was just something I put to replace the actual account name. I posted hoping this would provoke conversation about the topic. Specifically how the only time Blizzard enforces their naming policy is when someone complains, or when a GM is forced to look at your name (someone reports you / you submit a GM ticket). I think it's 100% horse shit that the GM looked at my pending ticket and saw my name, and issued a forced change and didn't even acknowledge my pending ticket. I can only assume it wasn't a player report, but there is no way to be sure.
Yes, I choose the name because it was "edgy" and a play on words. Mainly because I'm not satisfied to be "OCHOCINCOLOL" or some other retarded pop culture meme. All of my names, nicks, and any other reference to my characters or anything else always has a meaning behind it or is a play on words or something to that extent. I'm not trying to QQ about having my name changed. I had 3 shaman, named Menage, Aahh, Trois, for over a year. Not once forced a name change. So group sex across 3 toons is fine, but cloth worship? NOOOOOOOOO we can't have that, it may upset some god believer.
Toon names are meant to push the boundaries of the naming policy, if you don't think so, you're not paying attention or you're on an RP server where people actually care about what other people name their toons.
Code:Depending on the policy violated, your character has either been given a randomly generated character name, or will be prompted to select a new one the next time they log in.

Finance to marketing: 'hey guys we need some extra $'
Marketing brainstorm: 'the paid char name service is less popular lately'
Marketing to GMs: 'guys, enforce the naming rules more strictly from now on'
GM to player: 'dude ur name sucks, we give u a name that even sucks more but feel free to use the paid char name service'
... player takes his credit card
Marketing to finance: 'see we can do it!!!'
I guess the point though is that the name had nothing to do with cloth worship... It was a play on words as you said yourself, which negates any sort of "innocent accident" defense you might have. "Oh, I just liked the name Mohammed, I had no idea that some cultures find using that name offensive" could be somewhat innocent. Your case is the opposite of this, where you intentionally referenced something you knew would require a change.
Yeah I do think that its dumb that stuff only gets forced to change if it gets noticed, but how else would they do it? This sort of thing needs a human eye, I guess they could pay some intern to just stare at character names all day long.
"I....warship.... Satin?" "Excrement!" 2 bucks for anybody who gets the reference =)
Stay Tuned ?
