is there a way to filter what messages my slaves send my master?
im a button masher so i'm constantly being spammed with another action in progress, interrupted(when i move on purpose) and all sorts of other things.
i just want to know when follow breaks and when they're dying. basically i want the messages that will prevent my team from killing things and to ignore the messages that tell me they got interrupted etc
There's messaging options on a few different tabs for Jamba. Such as the "Repair silently" option. Be sure to scan through all the Jamba option menus, as well as all the tabs on each of those pages (if applicable) to find them all. There's an option to send a message based on being attacked, when follow breaks, or even mana or health dropping below user-defined thresholds (under 30% health, for example).
I haven't played with them all, so I can't give a total guide of all the settings and what they do here.
EDIT: Type "/jamba" to open the option settings window, if you weren't aware. On the left side, you'll notice there's about 10 different option menus for Jamba alone (Jamba-Group, Jamba-Me, Jamba-Sell, etc.).
yah i saw all the options and what not however it occured to me like an hour ago to pass the settings to the other chars, so i'll give that a shot and hopefully that'll that suppress some of it

Lol. Im a dough head xD Thanks.
im having a problem with the /jamba setmeasmaster all macro. im triple boxing deathknights and when i swap windows with keyclones PiP and hit the macro to make the next DK the master it takes forever for it to kick in. so the current toon is constantly auto following my previous master and all teh whispers get fwd back to that toon and so on. sometimes io just sit and spam the macro (its not keybound i just use the mouse to click it)
Most of teh time i have to open teh jamba window and manually set the new master and use push to all button
any ideas? anyone else having tihs problem? and yes i do have the latest download
thnx in advance
I'm trying to get Jamba-Target working. I re-downloaded 0.4d today.
When I put a mark a target with a raid icon, the shaman that I want to target that target doesn't do anything. Instead in my text window this appears "/target Dragonflayer Ironhelm". So I know that something is getting passed to that toon, but it's not quite working that way I would hope.
Secondly, in my key bindings there are options for "Target 1 (Star)", "Target 2 (Circle)" etc. I'm not sure what these do, when I bind a key to these, I'm not noticing that anything happens either on my screen or the followers' screens. Any help? Thank you.

I'm at work so I can't find the link, but someone posted a macro once to use in conjunction with the PiP function of keyclone. You basically macro each toon to the same key you use to swap them to the main screen, and it tells the toon that became the "master" to tell the other ones in Jamba "setmeasmaster all". It also tells the other ones "/focus <main toon>" as well as resetting the jamba follow strobe.
For example, I used F5-F8 with a 4 box team. If my main died, and I hit F6, the macro(s) made it the master in jamba, set the others focus to that toon, and set them to following it. If I did a lot of fast switching I occasionally ran into issues, but all in all it was simple and effective. I think it looked something like this (but again, not positive)
Hit F6...that toon becomes main screen and this macro goes off:
/clearfocsu
/jamba setmeasmaster all
/jamba strobeonme all
and each of the other toons had F6 macrod to
/focus <toon F6>
Sorry, I know it's not technically correct, just tryin to point you in the right direction for something that worked well for me.
****EDIT Found it in another post on this thread. Jafular rules!******
How to switch masters and follow strobe using Focus:

I just downloaded this addon, and i am having troubles getting my Slave character to do anything at all.
The only thing he seems to want to do, is follow me.
Ive read everything within the Essential Information area on Jamba, and have followed every instruction to a tee.
I am new to running two instances of WoW at once, so i could possibly understanding this all wrong.
What i am trying to do, is kill things with my main character, and use the Slave char to heal me.
Is this possible to do?
Should i have to switch game instances to heal, or can i do it all from my main char?

Jamba does not do this for you; YOU still have to assign macros and press the appropriate key. There are plenty of instructions on how to set this up in this forum .

I'm still having problems (on my f8-f12 system). If I impliment the above macro based on my toons (vantica, ventica, vintica, vontica, vyntica), I just have to hit F8 to set leader? will f8-12 still allow main screen switching?Quote:

when you select another window, this window become the front window and the keystroke is sent to this front windows and every char now focus and follow the char in this front window
BUT
this can't be used to switch windows with keyclone because the maximizer switch windows while the front window is selected... so as far as I know, no way !
[s]hey my jamba isnt pushing settings to the slaves any more so what i have tryed is

Hmm... well it varies... it seems like Jamba sometimes 'hangs' with Master, or updates. Not sure why, I"ve got a sick pc with a dedicated cable internet line.
Sometimes the 'master', when switched, seems to focus on the previous master, which can be annoying. Sometimes it seems like it takes a few mins before everything syncs up.
I seem to have this "jamba lag" too. My screen swapping keys, F8-F12 also enable my new leader. I haven't tried the macro types listed here, and I will to see if that works better... for the moment I use just /focus <toon> and it has been working well.... I used to have /focus <toon> on all the slaves and also /setmeasmasterall on the intended master toon but was having problems there... Hopefully these posted macros will fix it.Quote:

*** update*****
After trying the above macros, I've found what is about the only functional way Jamba will work for me, with following the leader, is to simply have /focus <desired toon> bound to f8-f12 (and set focus to master selected in switch). However, once the switch is made, the New Main toon keeps refocusing, restrobing on the previous master, very very very annoying, as it keeps snapping the main toon back to following the previous master. Even while the current toon is shown as the focus. It seems to take between 1 and 5 minutes before Jamba finally realizes that <current toon> is the main toon and it quits focusing, and forcint the following, of the previous master (just the current main toon does this, the rest of the group focuses correctly)...
Suggestions?
Try this:Quote:

--> ok, found the solution. It was simple... the Toon have to look on the target, too ^^ . Thats all.
I have seen the problems you are having when switching master. I thought I caught most of them with the updates after the updated vehicle follow patch.Quote:

So, make sure you are using the latest version of Jamba.
From memory, I think that it may be possible for the master to get out of sync in high lag situations if you use the Focus method (which you are). I need to investigate this more.
Switch OFF the "set focus to master selected" in the switch menu and try the following macros for switching master:
On the toon that is going to be the master:
/jamba setmeasmaster all
/jamba-follow strobeonme all
/focus NewMasterToon
On all the other toons:
/focus NewMasterToon
Also, it seems like the messages Jamba sends between toons are taking a long time to get through. Are all your wow instances running at least 20fps? If not, the message rate is halved (which is bad). This is because of a third party library I am using.
Please let me know if you are having problems with those macros; they should work without issue.
I run my slaves at 30 fps on the one that is active (I play full screen only) and 5 fps on the backgrounds that are not active, I have a problem with things updating jamba very slowly. The leader is at 60 fps on another computer. Is there a work around this 20fps limit?Quote:

You are going to need to find ALL instances of ChatThrottleLib.lua in your Interface/Addons folder and change this line (its near the top of the file):
ChatThrottleLib.MIN_FPS = 20 -- Reduce output CPS to half (and don't burst) if FPS drops below this value
Change the 20 to 4 in your case and see what happens. If your clients start getting disconnected; then you will need to adjust this value and your background fps in tandem.
Love the mod, only found out about it a few hours ago :whistling:
Thanks for putting in the time
please please please put in an option to turn off follow strobe and I will love you forever! lol :D

I am still having issues with one of my teams.
My group Tunák as the master on each of the slaves along with the rest of the party. When issue the /jamba-invite command the group accepts the invite and the follow command works and my jamba team window shows 3 green check boxes with my leaders name showing with bars. The rest are empty.
If i look at my other character windows i see the following info on Jamba Team
Tunák - Only shows self and 3 blank
TunákTunák - shows self and master
TunákTun - shows self and master
DáDáDá - shows self and master
All other aspects of Jamba seem to be working correctly, and on my priest/mage team its working perfectly. Its just my shaman team it hates!
Is there an issue with special character names? I have everything down all lower case. Please help me!
So I drove myself crazy looking for something I missed but I can't for the life of me get it to show me the health for my team. Only my Own Health abr shows up even when I push to whole team the -show health bar- option.

Just a little question about Jamba internals Jafula, is it possible to get the follow status for all characters in the group list? I'm trying to make a Pitbull addon that can display follow status in the pitbull unitframes, but I can't seem to request the follow status.
Suggestion: use curseforge (http://wow.curseforge.com/) to host the source and build system and more importantly ticketing system to track all the requests/bugs/... etc ?
Having curse host SVN repository for you is convenient - and makes an offsite backup
Jafula i got a question, or maybee a request for next update/version.
Is it possible to get something like this
like /jamba-follow master all
but instead something like this
/jamba-cast assist party1 "spell" "tag"
if thats possible i only had to make "macros" on my main :)
Thanks otherwhise for a wonderful addon :), btw is it ok because of ToS/EULA
There might be an issue with special character names. The code is supposed to be able to handle all the special characters, but people have reported problems. I'm sorry you are having trouble with them. I'm writing a new version of Jamba, and I'll take extra care when working with those characters.Quote:

Make sure you have the latest version of Jamba as I have been making fixes.
You will be able to do that in Jamba 0.5; Jamba will have its own "api" and you will be able to subscribe to messages Jamba sends (like follow status). Unfortunately there is no easy way to get the follow status currently.Quote:

Yes, I will do this once 0.5 is released. I'm going to open source Jamba 0.5 (GPL). I already use SVN and use FogBugz as my bug tracker; its just all private :-).Quote:
