Probably a good idea if you have the time. There are probably lots of readers who do not know how to set a multi-step up.

I like the setup you have here and it largely made sense as I tried to create it in ISBoxer but I had a couple of questions if you don't mind.
1. You mention you bounce specs back and forth but your macros are based on action target groups. Is there some way those change based on spec? Or do you actually push out a change and reload when you want to switch between them?
2. Most of your mapped keys/macros made sense. The only thing I was struggling with was your DPS mapped key pointing to self. Are you just adding that to some other mapped key that's broadcasting? I wasn't understanding how DPS spam would make it to the rest of the team the way that one is setup.
3. Your DPS key advanced settings say reset after 15 secs, but doesn't say after first keypress or what setting you are choosing there?
Thanks! Looking forward to trying this out on my monk team!

Ok ..yeah replying to my own reply with another quick question. Just went to export and being a newbie at using ISBoxer to actually create WoW macros, I got the pop up that says I need to set key combos for the macros. Perhaps this was related to my question #2. Do I just pick some unused key combo for each of the macros?
Thanks again!

Refer to my ISBoxer profile: http://www.l00py.net/isboxer_ugh_24nov2014.txt In there, you'll find in the keymaps for each class two mapped keys: PrimaryATGs and SecondaryATGs. That moves characters in and out of ATGs as needed and remaps the virtual combat keymap references as well.
I use the ISBoxer Pro system. As an example of what it does for, say, my main DPS spam key:
- My DPS key "v" is bound to the "DPS Rotation" mapped key in "Combat Hotkeys" keymap.
- That key does "Assist Me" -> self in the Non-combat keymap, and then calls "DPS Rotation" mapped key in the Virtual Combat keymap -> all.
- Then the Virtual Combat keymap's "DPS Rotation" key calls "DPS Rotation" in the keymap MonkTank -> self. The Virtual Combat keymap "reference" is initially defined in each character's "Virtual Mapped Keys" tab and can be switched around as needed to point to a different keymap as needed for different specs or testing. Again, see the ATG switching keys noted above for examples.
See my linked profile above. The DPS key spams 4 steps to cover all the different things without it getting hung up in a macro. It also spams my RingOfPeace and ChiWave mapped keys. RingOfPeace fires on the next character once every 8 seconds and resets after 45 seconds (the cooldown of the spell); this ensures it is up as often as possible on the target's target to keep it silenced/disarmed as much as possible. ChiWave fires on the next character every 3 seconds ensuring that it's up as often as possible and doesn't waste itself on a mob that dies immediately as it would if you just fired it on all 5 monks at once.
Yep. I use right-control + right-alt + keypad 0-9, etc. since I don't bind those to anything, but you can use whatever you'd like.
Anyone have current step or priority based setup for Prot Warriors and Ret Pallys? I'm playing around with a few nuggets I found in the old MoP Library thread but if someone has something current I could look at that would be great.
Thanks!

Just decided to get back into the game here. Been a long time though, can we still use calls to other action buttons in a macro, rather than a step macro if I don't have ISboxer currently?
I know I did that a lot with MOP, but haven't followed anything about wow for a while.
Thanks all.
And yeah, STO is horrible right now, which is why I'm back again.
Awesome Ugh! thanks again.
Any Gnomesequencer lua version of these macros?
There's something I'm missing here. I don't quite get what you mean by the steps and the numbers since the way I keep thinking it works, means what is listed won't work.
By step, I'm assuming you mean a step in an isboxer mapped key. Is this wrong?
And aren't there items in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 9 that invoke a global cool down?
0 and 1 are both items that don't trigger a GCD
But 2, 3, 4, and 9 all involve GCD's
So how does it work having more than 1 in a step?
If you tied that set of steps to a key and spammed that key what happens?
Any interp I try to make results in a contradiction, so I'm confused
0 1 1 1 2 3 9 4 4?
0 1 (9 never gets run?) 1 2 (3 never gets run?)
Or is each step its own key?
Or...
sorry not sure what else
Is it just me or is a Destruction Warlock not very popular with boxing. (the Macros I could find are far below the mage DPS on the same dummy) ... :(
anyone some good DPS Macros for a destro lock ?
Im trying to cast Tigereye Brew then Fists of Fury then force the game to null itself out for another 20 second then press nothing for 4 seconds to reset itself. It works great on the first Cycle but on the second cycle it casts Tigereye Brew two or three times before it casts Fists of Fury.
Fists of Fury is on 25 second cooldown
Code:DPS Map Key
Reset to step 1 after 15 seconds
Execute when pressed OR released
|--> Step 1
|--> Do mapped key "Fists of Fury" in keymap "WW Timing" (self)
|--> Step 2
|--> Do mapped key "Blackout Kick" in keymap "WW Timing" (self)
|--> Step 3
|--> Do mapped key "Jab" in keymap "WW Timing" (self)
|--> Step 4
|--> Do mapped key "Tigereye Brew" in keymap "WW Timing" (self)
Fists of Fury Timing
|--> Step 1
| Do not advance to the next step for at least 20 seconds
|--> Do WoW macro "Fists of Fury" in "Quick Setup 41" (self)
|--> Step 2
| Do not advance to the next step for at least 4 seconds
/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=3 Tigereye Brew, Fists of Fury, null
/startattack
Just made a pretty significant update of the macros I put in page one of this thread. Now have fairly optimized macros for:
Prot Pally
Disc Priest
Marks Hunter
Ele Shaman
Destro Warlock, and
Arcane Mage
I am very happy with the Arcane Mage and Marks Hunter ones, decently happy with most of the others, but disappointed with the Ele Shaman one which I just can't seem to get good DPS out of.
First let me just say Thank You!! :) I have a prot pally, disc priest, 3x DestLock team so your updated macros were awesome. Granted the team isn't 90 yet (87's most of em) so I needed to go through and cruft out stuff I couldn't cast just yet that was causing lock ups, but it was still a great start!
I had a question and a quick correction. On the Prot Pally I didn't understand why on Step 3 you separated out the other casts like that? Isn't step 3 just a priority cast and so wouldn't it be the same thing if your Macro 3 was:
The correction was on the disc priest:Code:/castsequence reset=9 Avenger's Shield, Sacred Shield, Avenger's Shield
/cast [combat][player] Holy Prism
/cast Holy Wrath
/cast Hammer of Wrath
/cast Consecration
This macro needs to be fixed if your using the talents you have selected since Power Word: Solace replaces Holy Fire.
Gideon,
Thanks for the comments.
On the Prot Pally, you are probably right. I could simplify that macro setup by using the code you suggested instead of multiple steps.
On on the Disc Priest, fortunately, the macro system is smart enough to auto-replace the Holy Fire with Solace if you have taken that talent. I left it as Holy Fire in case I ever switch out of the Solace talent - won't have to change the macro.
OK, I'll leave it as is.
Let me know if you have any other improvements, though. Always looking to make these better.
Mercuri amazing work here, I am understand and read the macros well. However I am extremely new to Multi boxing. I have been searching the links here as to how/where to BUILD/paste these macros.
Perhaps I am just too excited about the whole or'deal and I am reading over what i need asap. But, if you have a link or better search query to point me into the right direction I am anxious to get this ball rolling.
Rolling a gDruid and Dpriest currently. Just rolled up a pair gDruid + rSham with hotkeynet and was having a blast, got wind of isboxer, so I parked them at 66ish and intend to give this a whirl. From what i read I can basically create smart macros that know what HEALING or TANKING class I am, and it will then cast appropriately. I myself and not so much into RIADING or heroics. But I do love to level "Weird right?" and Pvp. So this will greatly fill the desire of one of those aspects.
Can you guess which? lol
Thank you again for the write up and your time.
Noidea as well, its why I dont use them lol
I did use merc's macro ages ago think was Cata or MOP cannot remember think cata when he had some kind of guide and how you add it into isboxer, but I have a new pc since then and never kept my old conf file, so I tend to use macros from wow lazy macro's instead.
Also, if we do find, get a guide in how we add these in steps, will there be a macro for surv and bm ?
Surv is still pretty decent, and BM is superior now, especially with 4 set.
Finally found the post: http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/3...iboxing-Macros
Was Cata, is that the same step macro thing you people are using now ?
As in follow that guide in How to set this up in isboxer Then use the macros from this current Topic ???
The macros should be largely the same as Cata, with an additional ability here and there. The caveat is that some are more timing-dependent (e.g. the Balance Druid setups) and may need updates to remain competitive.
Maybe this will help.
I am using ISBoxer and Variable Keymaps. In the Virtual Mapped Keys tab for a given Character, it should say Virtual Combat Key Map is now "Shaman Elemental Key Map", where "Shaman Elemental" is the name of a key map you have created.
In my first post in this thread, I have some macros listed out as 1, 2, 3, etc for each class/spec. These are in-game macros you activate with the "Shaman Elemental" (or whatever) key map in ISBoxer.
My Shaman Elemental Key Map in the first post says:
Step 1: 1, 2, 4
Step 2: 1, 2, 4, 3
Step 3: 1, 2, 4
Therefore, in the ISBoxer Shaman Elemental Key Map, I have set up three steps. The first sends key presses 1, 2, and 4 to the game. Those key presses activate the corresponding macros in game.
The above description assumes a bit of knowledge about ISBoxer but should help. If it makes no sense to you, watch some of Mirai's videos and you should be going in short order.
he advanced set up that allows you to have different
First of all, thanks for these macros, guys - they [generally] are awesome :)
Question - the Elem Shammy macro. Earth Shock is kinda tailing everyting else (being at the end the cast sequence of five LBs, plus that macro only gets hit only once every 3 steps) - is that intentional? For example your Hunter/Mage macros being at 100 dps theory mark leave my shammy at 70% when compared, is that normal too? I know shammy is not supposed to be a dps hero, but 70%?
Hi Alex66,
The use of Earth Shock is important to an Elemental Shaman. Earth Shock's relationship with Lightning Shield to get Fulmination is critical. It should only rarely be called or at the end of a macro because you want a build up via Improved Lightning Shield.
I personally use two Elemental Shaman's in my ten boxing team. I have found they also typically lag behind my hunter's for example. (If macro'd properly the hunter will beat most classes) The percentage difference is usually a relationship based off my current Ivl and the dungeon bosses I am fighting.
