Pre-tBC I dual boxed arms warrior and holy priest in MC raids. Warrior keys to the left, priest keys to the right. I ran in windowed mode and just clicked between windows REAL fast. I was only responsible for healing one group and myself. I think a raid-wide healing assignment would have been just about impossible. When I had to tank I would heal just myself. It all just takes a little practice.

I wonder about content post-SSC/TK. Many encounters require *individual* mobility. Archimonde, Gorefiend, Mother, and Illidan all have elements which separate one character from another. The Shadow of Death on Gorefiend could easily hose your team and the entire raid.
I have tri-boxed a hunter, elem shaman, and shadow priest in Gruuls, Mag, SSC, Kara, and ZA. The classes are actually pretty easy to coordinate with the shadow priest as main and macro'd steady shot/kill command for hunter and lightning/chain lightning for shaman.
Just about any combo works if you have the patience to make it work.
How'd you work it? What macros n such? Did you have any posts that you referenced or anything?
I just posted my shaman / hunter macros here: can you box a hunter and shaman
Pretty much I played the shadow priest and had the macros for the shaman and hunter. In most fights I could move around well enough since they are all ranged. On fights like Gruuls, I would have to switch windows to ensure that I was far enough away before a shatter.
Its definitely a lot more involved than playing a single character during a boss fight. It keeps you on your toes with some fights.
