the reasons mages work is that arcane spec using only arcane blast will oom quickly in raiding. However dungeon bosses die before you run oom :D
If blizzard ever nerfed mirror images this team would be so screwed, most likely you would wipe before getting the boss down.
Ive been thinking of 5x enhancement shaman with some modifications from "optimal" dps for increased survability:
mwx5 goes to healing rain x 5 instead of lightning bolt. sub resto instead of elemental to get the +healing/healing received talent and get the shock talent which will buff your healing rain ability (i.e. cast a shock every 10s and then follow it up with healing rain to get the improved healing).
Dont know if it would be enough healing without a tank since youd obviously be in melee.
Yeah all healing is away from dps :) (also mages = 5x invisbility (glyphed run speed 40%) nice way to skip some trash you don't want to fight.. \o/ )
Btw, I almost did ZA timed with this team today. I zerged Akil'zon, when he died I had huge 12 minutes left in timer, had one unnecessary corpserun, ran back, headed to Nalorakk and killed all the trash on my way.
My team was facing Nalorakk alone while the timer just went from 2 to 1 minute, so if I had my mirror images off cd, I'd had done it :P
Tomorrow new try, frapsing and without unnecessary corpse runs.. to the success!
Yep, and if they ever did, it would specifically be to nerf this team, giving us proof that they indeed DO pay attention to multiboxing. Somehow I doubt they will though. We're such a small percentage of the overall WoW playerbase.Quote:

Talked to GM once about something, and the GM next to him was outrageous that 5 mages can "solo" heroics all the way to the last bosses :D However, even if Bz knew about what's happening there, they never would nerf any abilities based on just one player, I see that is completely impossible.Quote:

World drop BoEs drop once in a while, so that's an income, very very random though and happens like twice a month if I'm lucky.. Good thing in boxing is you can always greed the epix for yourself ;)
If they would nerf something, that'd be anti-cc buff in TBoT10 and in raid instances in general. I know they didn't want me to farm 3,5 millions of gold in 4 months, but what's done is done. Nerfing Mirror Images would just cause 5 more unsubs for good ^^
Today I was facing Nalorakk's last trash pack and there was still 7 minutes on timer.. but kept nubbering with the last trash so no ZA timed today either :(
I'm a bit confused. When you say, that you failed timed run, do you mean that you failed the bear mount run, or just the timer run out at that boss?Quote:

Obviously you can use invisibility through most of the trash which is probably a huge time saver, but still.
I always kill Akil'zon first, and then go to Nalorakk. If you do both before timer goes off, you get the bear mount?Quote:

You will need to kill the four bosses (eagle, bear, dragonhawk, lynx) before the timer on top of your screen runs out. You start off with 15 minutes, and you get another 5 minutes for killing the eagle and the bear boss, giving you a grand total of 25 minutes.
Killing eagle, bear, dragonhawk in time award a possibility for extra epic loot or at least a bag of coins.
For the mount you need to kill lynx boss too in time along with all the other 3.
To complete a bear run you pretty much can not wipe at all, even 2-3 solo death can jeopardize your chance of killing the 4 bosses in time.
For me so far the best was killing Hawk, Bear, Dragonhawk and after Dragonhawk still having 3 min left on the timer. But I think you need more like 6-7 or even more :S

Damn Halazzi is tough, and so are any bosses with similar phases.. Once I nuked Halazzi down to 3%, but then he switched back to troll form and bam he goes to 100%.. and I'm sure he can't be even killed when he's in "wrong form"
Same thing with Glubtok in DM, nuked him down to 1 hp and he started casting Arcane Power stuff, that last 1 hp took 10 seconds just because the server script kept him alive..
Going to shorten the kill list soonish, trying from "easiest available" as in Karsh Steelbender in BrC.. it's just too easy to mess up with the pull or stacks, and once your images are in combat, you can't move them... Idea was to spread mages around him and then hope the aggro switches once in a while so Karsh runs through the flame pillar.. but that's when everything can go wrong.. Haven't nuked him flasked yet though, I guess one stack weakens him that much that I could kill him before the stack fades.. I need to unlock last boss Obsidius for the trinkets.
