Why ToW?
The DPS increase isn't worth it. ST will give you roughly the same DPS w/o having to spend a talent point. ST will slow down casters. ST will auto target.

I would say that Eye of the Storm is actually bad for me and my 5 shaman group. When one toon is getting hit it takes longer to cast the spell thus someone else gets a cast in before the person that has agro. Hopefully this bounces agro around.

You know I hadn't even thought about the Call of the Flame it was just kind of a filler at that point. I guess there is no point to it pre75 (unless you want more range on your flame shock. I will probably move these points into elemental shields for better surviablity.

The big thing about elemental Precision is lowering the hit cap. Before when totem of wrath stacked it wasn't that big of a deal. But now I think we are going to have gem for a little bit of +hit. If you can't hit a target then you can't kill it.

- Good point on the Eye. Guess it just mainly makes sense in PvP when the dmg normally is focused.

- Call of Flame, my thoughts exactly.

- So basiclly we need to get Ele Precission and +2% (is that around 40 to hit?) from items to cap the lvl 72 or below?

It all depends if Totem of wrath still stacks with the self buff flametongue totem. Totem of wrath is going to give everyone in your party ~140 spell power. I don't see how 1 extra searing totem can make up for (5*140 = 700 spell power).

Minor Glyphs Doesn't really matter that much probably go for the water breathing/water walking reagantless casting thingys

Well that is nice, but I'm wondering how many macro slots will be available and whether we will be uploaded automatically or if they will have to be re-entered. I'm worried I'm going to get home from work and spend all night recalibrating everything.

I am mostly curious why an ele shaman would want +5% melee crit? Why not use those five points in something more valuable?

Forgive my newfound ignorance as I haven't played the WotLK PTR, but with the new talent trees, does Totem of Wrath no longer stack?

While we're talking the new talent spec, why are people putting pts into talents where the spell isn't avail until 75? Wouldn't you be better off putting 3pts into Eye of the Storm vs the lava flow one? I can't count the number of times having the spell push back reduced would've saved an ankh.
