Does anybody have a mage spec that will take advantage of 4 mages aoe burst damage. I keep hearing about arcane/fire hybris build for upfront burst aoe damage but not sure what talents to pick?

The specs arent that dependent for what you're asking, you basically just frost nove, flamestrike, and then wipe up with arcane explosion. You can do that almost equally with any mage spec since those skills aren't attached to anything necessary in the talent trees, just small benefits. So just look for spec stuff that would make your own life easier.
If you want to play around with fire/frost aoe, this spec has incredible off the charts aoe burst with nova, flamestrike, Cone of cold, blastwave and shatter ignite.

The second fire/frost AOE might be what im looking for!!!! Since i dont have a tank i need to burst down targets asap. I like that combo of fire aoe abilities combined with shatter.Quote:

I'd go 2 into arcane first, then frost until shatter. Then fire until improved flamestrike and fill out the rest of frost.

Backpedaling decreases melee leeway by 50% so you won't be hit in the back by mobs from a mile away and potentially dazed. Never thought I'd be advocating backpedaling in an MMO :)
