Ramparts Run with multiclass boxer - any suggestions???
Hi guys,
my current setup is as follows
1 x Prot Pally (tank)
1 x Holy Priest (heals)
3 x Fire Mages (DPS)
just recently have i hit the outlands with my team, and just as recently completed 3/4 of the HFP quests. So i have pretty much all outlands greens for my team.
i was bout 20% away from 61 and decided to give ramps a shot too see how i go.
Being a nub to wow this was prolly only the 2nd time i had stepped into ramps ever (solo or multiboxing).
After reading extensively about all the skills/talents of the trash i was fairly confident that i had everything down pat, and i did for the most part (loosing just 1/2 mages on a trash pull which aggro'ed some adds i didnt expect). Getting to the first boss i thought that i was gonna wipe, but found the first boss EASIER than the trash i had been crawling through. So after pwning the first boss my confidence was back up again and i continued on.
Finally after a few close calls and a couple of hairy situations i was confronted with Omor.
1st time - wiped (he can juggle pretty dam well)
2nd time - wiped (no im serious he really can juggle)
3rd time - killed (ok, well my pally was left standing but thats bout it)
i could not work out anyway to get around the shadow bolt spam he would cast on my cloth wearers, just seemed as tho priest couldnt keep up with healing on cloth wearers AND manage to keep healing up on pally as he was being juggled (group heal just wasnt enough).
after that, i thought to myself, 'i came this whole way i may aswell wipe... i mean attempt to kill the dragon/rider guy'.
1st time - wiped (didnt know wtf was happening and aggro'ed guards at the ramp and wasnt setup)
2nd time - wiped (tryed to do it legit way, fire pwned my cloth wearers which basically left my pally for dead)
3rd time - wiped (managed to do the trick of pulling guards back on ramp, but even then mages had aggro and burned to death)
4th time - bugged (dragon despawned and left rider there by himself. Rider was a peice of piss when fire wasnt owning my clothies, downed him and had to reset)
Now theres plenty of tactics around for the 5 x shaman group or a group which consists of 2 shaman at least (grounding totems ftw obviously) but i want to know what expiriences other MULTICLASS multiboxers (pref a Tank,Healer,DPS x3(without grounding totems:P)) are having with ramps. Maybe i should try when i level a bit but i hope i havent wasted all this time/money/effort to not even be able to pull off a ramparts clear :S
Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated, or even some other multiboxers let me know that im not the only one having the same problems
Thanks in advance
BTW: i leveled to 61 during that run :P
Regards

I'd activate fire ward (or flame ward? the fire dmg absorption thing), mana shield and mage armor. That + fire resistance aura from the pally should help a lot.
Also, if you're perhaps not used to spreading out yet then do it. You really don't want everyone standing in one spot for this boss.
The dragon boss is stupidly hard without some 'good' gear for your tank and healer. You want enough hp on your tank to survive if the healer has to heal someone else, and enough mana regen / mana on the healer to actually heal through all that madness :)
It will get alot better through once you get some gear.
You could give blood furnace a shot, imo it's easier than the last boss of ramps.
*edit*
Regarding the second boss. Buff shadow resistance, use sr aura (if they stack) and mage armor and nuke away on the boss _without_ the pala standing in melee range. If nobody is in melee range then he will only shadow bolt some of your guys but not start to melee anything. Should be easily healable by the priest since you can concentrate on single target healing. Just pick up the felhunters with your pala and you should be good.
kind regards
