So personally i dont actually own all 3 accounts, rather i multibox but on my GF's and Best friends account that both play. I know i am going to be under the spot light if i continue but i do not want to get their accounts banned as well, Should i continue is there anyway i can continue?

I was thinking i change some info, but i want this to be legal so i dont have to worry about it,

There are a couple of ways of creating accounts online

Create Trial account -> convert to full account -> upgrade to tBC (u get 10 days + 1 month free game time)
Recruit a friend (recruit urself) -> convert to full account -> upgrade to tBC (u get 1 free month on your current account, not sure about the new one)

Though i have read some exceptions were made like wife bought the game for hubby and had it registered in wifes name...... so long as the last name was the same, cant confirm but still, not worth the risk.

You may ONLY share your account with your ONE minor dependant child. If you are confused regarding this policy, you should review the Terms of Use at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/termsofuse.html, the EULA at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/eula.html or the official Blizzard customer service forums. Also see this useful Blizzard Support website article on account sharing ('http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=20576').
You agree to these Terms of Use on behalf of yourself and, at your discretion, for one (1) minor child for whom you are a parent or guardian and whom you have authorized to use the account you create on the Service. and
3. Establishing an Account.
You may establish one (1) user account (the "Account") on the Service for each Authentication Key you receive from Blizzard. To establish an Account, you will be required to provide Blizzard with certain personal information and the Authentication Key provided to you by Blizzard. Your failure to supply accurate information to Blizzard when requested, or to update that information as it changes, shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement.
During the registration process, you will be required to select a username and a password that are unique to the Account (collectively referred to hereunder as "Login Information"). You may not share the Account or the Login Information with anyone other than as expressly set forth herein. last name only applies to moving toons from one account to another, but not sharing said account.

and I will add, I disagree with this policy 100%, my wife, in the state of Texas, and I are seen as one person, she has legal right to act in my name, and I hers. But for what every reason they do not see it that way, I guess it is just to make THEIR life less stressful.

The issue is that Blizzard owns the accounts, not you. The issue becomes how Blizzard sees you and your wife, not how the state of Texas sees you.

I agree that I disagree with the wife bit but you are wrong. I am also in Texas, try having your wife get information from your doctor about you. If they are HIPPA compliant, unless you sign a release, your wife will not get anything. If she does the doctor is breaking the law and you can go after them. Even if you are "one" there are also other things you can not do for each other as well.

I am one of those who bought the game for the wife and set it up for her in my name (because I didn't read the TUA almost 3 years ago) and am trying to get it fixed now with out losing any accounts.

Now in all honesty if you REALLY REALLY wanted to challenge it you could take them to court over it. My guess is they probably have you "out lawyered" and it will take a while to get it settled. It would probably be faster to level up new toons and be cheaper to buy new copies of the game.

To the above two posters -- please either cite your official Blizzard source for this, or cease to speak of it on the forums. According to OUR official blizzard terms of use/eula, support forums, and the customer service forums (Thanks BinaryZero ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=81588#post81588') for posting it) -- this is not the case.

You will want to take a look at the Community Guidelines ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Board&boardID=31') to review our policy on discussions that encourage breaking the rules. In short, they are not allowed.

Unless you have an official Blizzard source to cite regarding this change in policy, please refrain from encouraging others to break the rules. Thanks.

If you disagree with the policy, then you are within your rights to click "I disagree" when the Terms of Use and EULA pop up on the screen. If you have just purchased the game, you are also entitled to return the opened game directly to Blizzard within 30 days of purchase due to not agreeing with the Terms/EULA.

If you already clicked "I Agree", then you have already accepted the terms of the contract which directly contradicts your opinion. I'd suggest cancelling your account if at any time you do not agree with Blizzard's policies.

The primary purpose (at least that I can see -- and this is opinion) for not allowing account names to be changed even within the family -- is that allowing account transfers makes it easier for hackers to not only gain access to your account but to transfer the account ownership to themselves.

As I said in the my first of two posts, when I quoted you that it IS the rule, that is why I made it two post, one was the official facts, one was how I feel about it. I know I have the right to click i do not agree. i think you misquoted in your first post, I was the one who copied and pasted your post for them... but anyway sorry for ruffling feathers.

You're making me sound like some sort of deity or something. :huh:Whatever, I was quoting Nogbog's Statement " You CANNOT use anyone elses account!" as being TRUE. Doesn't change the FACT that I have READ there were some exceptions made in the PAST with husband/wife accounts, not sharing but transfering. I go on to further state that its still NOT WORTH THE RISK. Clear?

Transferring characters between accounts which you do not own is also against the Terms of Use. Whether people get away with it or not.

It has no business on these forums.

We are representing ALL multiboxers EVERY TIME WE POST. Even the most MINUTELY ambiguous statement -- or even very clear ones -- can be misquoted and used as "proof" that multiboxers are cheaters. This is one of the reasons why discussing botting, buying gold, selling accounts, breaking the rules, is FORBIDDEN. As in none, nada, nothing. Keep in mind while I may sometimes be harsh when it comes to defending the official rules, I'm not angry at anyone -- just ensuring that our community remains legitimate to Blizzard and the rest of the masses.

Consider this an official warning -- whether or not it WAS, USED TO BE, HE SAID SHE SAID... Any discussion regarding breaking the terms of use is forbidden on these forums. Unless the rules have CHANGED (with proof directly from Blizzard) such that this current line of discussion IS within the terms/eula, that is the ONLY time you may discuss it.

Is that clear enough?
