Having played a bucketload of AV this weekend, I've run into some skilled players of all classes. Running with 4 shammies as I do for PvP nothing scares me, but skilled players of certain classes can be an annoyance. I dont want to give away trade secrets, but I thought it would be interesting to see what people thought were the best counters and what has worked against you, and for a laugh the worst. The most pesky classes I've found are well played Druids, rogues and well geared holy/disc priests. I'll get the ball rolling with a few:

Paladin
Holy:
- Clever: Mash head against keyboard as all my lovely buffs dissapear, as well as 70% of health, bubble, HoJ lead shammy, run and try to find someone to heal, maybe they'll pick on that person instead of me.
- Dumb: Run into the group, consecrate, Holy Shock (eaten by totems). Die I even have the chance to bubble.
Ret:
- Clever: Repentence on lead, run.
- Dumb: Pop avenging wrath, die.
Prot:
- Clever: Avenger's shield the group, blessing of freedom, run.
- Dumb: See holy.

Warrior:
Arms:
- Clever: The tremor totem is your #1 target, not the group. Take it out, fear, try to take the lead down.
- Dumb: Dismount, charge the whole group standing in their totem farm, blow up dead.
Fury:
- Clever: Take out the tremor/s, piercing howl, intervene to friendly player, run.
- Dumb: See arms.
Prot:
- Clever: Time a spell reflect to co-incide with a chain lightning volley.
- Dumb: See arms.

I was talking from the paladin perspective.

i think its sooo fucking funny how you see a priest run at you from 50 yards away, and you know whats going to happen.
How dumb do they think you are, without a shield they charge, most of the time you frag them before they hit you. if they get the fear off and tremor breaks that second, they get killed before they can get 10 yards awya.

I hate rogues that get the jump on me.

What about melee getting behind the shaman? Not sure how anyone else does it, but when some rogue or warrior keeps jumping in a circle around me, I can't really do anything. I can't turn fast enough to counter this tactic using the keyboard, and the mouse turning only works for my main.

I am a mouse turner, but a friend of mine is very good at PVP with a warrior even though he is a keyboard turner (I think they are 1 down for mouth breathers ;) )

his tic tac is to rotate the same way as the encircling player and reverse away from them... it works... try it, basically it doubles the distance the encircling player has to run.

If hit by a rogue... walk backwards through him... amazing now many fall for this one :(

For me on rogues:
- Clever: Distract then sap while the shammies are mounted, giggle as all the others come back to retireve the incapactiated one. Wait a few seconds, then do the same again. When in combat, blind one of the shammies to reduce the number vs. Save cloak of skills till the last minute, then vanish, run away, bandage up, rinse and repeat. (I've got better at dealing with this recently, but in the early days a good rogue could keep my whole group busy for 3 or 4 minutes).
- Dumb: Attack the lead when all shammies are in the middle of a totem farm and in formation. Waste cloak of lolz too early, keep attacking the main despite heals from the other 3/4. Ignore the fact that 3 or 4 of your allies are dying to CL or LBs. Once all the enemies are down, shock then LB and die miserably.

frost shock+earthbind kite away turn around and smoke them

I friggin HATE cheat death. You smoke a rogue - enough to kill him 1.5x and he cheats death and vanishes. Don't have time to get a shock off.

Also - I've smoked a mage - and then they'll set me up for a CL and ice block right before it gets to them - pretty clever.

frost shock+earthbind kite away turn around and smoke themindeed, also fire novas when they get close. But good rogue should sprint at that point, and live to fight again.

Actually I think the one that kills me the most are mages.
How to piss off a multiboxer with a mage:
Step 1. use invisibility to sneak up on mages
Step 2. Frost nova to nicely glue toons in place
Step 3. Important - move behind all toons - this way only the main can turn
Step 4. Use arcane explosion, cone of cold, etc... until boxer is well done
Step 5. When toons are free, they turn to kill you, blink behind them
Step 6. Pop all cool downs for spell damage if needed or sheep main and run
Step 7. If steps 1-6 are done correctly - dance and lol on 5 dead shammies

I think hunters are the funnest to kill... Usually they stand at a distance, send pet, begin Dps... I do the same with an earth elemental, I win.
There was 1 hunter though... whos sole goal in the AV was to kill my totems... it was annoying.

Step 3. Important - move behind all toons - this way only the main can turnThis is why I have alternate movement keys so I can move/turn all of them at the same time via keybinds if my main is fubar.

Earthbind then Run is a good one, but I run with a Prot Pally, so Consecrate + Hammer of Stun while have the shamans on follow and cast frost/flame/earth shock + chain lightning.

Clever: Rogues are rough, especially when they get behind me and my hammer is down.

Dumb: I've been seeing a lot of druids sneaking up in cat form, then shifting out to cast hurricane. Come on guys, you'd have to cast that for a week before I'd be dead.

For my pal/sham crew - some quick observations:

Rogues:
smart rogues (2+) pretty much stomp me with sap/blind
geared and smart single rogue can usually sap my pali and drop at least 1 sham before I can scare them off or kill 'em

not-smart: rogue that assumes my paladin is heal specced and tries to kill him first before laying into the sham... <splat>

Mage:
smart: highly mobile AoE + frost nova can drop me right quick
smart x2: charge in looking like a highly mobile AoE mage then ice blocking right before the first lightning bolt salvo hits, usually in conjunction with Mage2 who then proceeds to AoE me as above.

war/priest/warlock:
not-smart: fear bomb classes that don't notice 3x tremors and charge in thinking "yay free kills!"
